Norman looks like the next Brad Fittler.

Gee how good is that Melbourne will to win???

Billy slater's will to win is just amazing, without his leadership skills and amazing will to win the Broncos would be up by at least 50...........

Lockyer isn't happy about him being used at fullback

he'd be less happy about Brisbane losing him

Norman has been pretty good tonight. he's got a sweet pass on him. He might go alright in the blue and gold!

BTW, yes Slater is one of the best players running around, but he is still a dirty, filthy cat, who bends arms, elbows etc, using every grubby Bellamy tactic in the book. And, for every great game he has, he can just as well have a shit game. People on this forum hold him up as the benchmark and say Hayne should be more like him, but f**k me, the guy is a grub of the highest order who can make some howling mistakes at times, which seem to be missed by the Slater lovers. It's also a shit load easier to look like a superstar at the back of a dominant forward pack, something we haven't had since the back half of 09...

How about those champion qualities of Billy Slater???

MOTM huh?? Geez he carries those nuffies Smith and Cronk, without him the Storm would be spoon contenders. I hear he walks on water and is not far a cure for Cancer. Only that dreaded thing called a salary cap holding him back........

Obviously Griffin doesn't agree with you or there would've been no need to chase Prince and move Hoffman to fullback.......

You mean Hoffman the winger?

The Broncos bought Prince because they lacked a halfback good enough to fill the role on his own. Now they play with split halves, which requires two halfbacks.

Try and spin it any way you want.....they thought Prince was better in the halves or there was no need to sign him and move Norman. It's not rocket science to figure that out.

They signed Prince because Wallace wasn't good enough; not because Norman wasn't.

That's why Wallace has moved back to the left hand side, which is where he played when Lockyer was halfback (but wearing number 6).

You guys are goons. Pou is obviously right in this argument, so stop arguing?

The Broncos made the assessment that they'd be better off with Prince ahead of both Hoffman and Wallace. So they signed him. Then they had to choose who was better out of Hoffman or Wallace, with Wallace getting the nod there.
Norman's versatility made him fullback, where he is still able to chime in and overcall Wallace, but also gives him the option of attacking on both sides of the field.

For those who have watched the Broncos play this year, you'd agree that Norman is their most dangerous attacking player by far. I'm on board with his signing to play in the halves here - if the bloke who found him as a junior talent thinks he's good enough for it, then let's get behind him?

PS. If you disagree with Pou's argument, you're effectively arguing that the Bronco's first choice of player positions was to put Hoffman on the wing, and work out the team from there. Uh, yeah...

Yes that's a good point. It's definitely hodges first but with him out they have little and I would agree Norman seems their most potent player other than him.
