I knew Making Frizzell one of he captains last week was the kiss of death. He did exactly the same wih Brett Morris who left for the dogs.

Players don't seem to like coach.
Surely dragons management can see this.
Gould probably told the CEO and Board that the players love Mary and so he should be kept on or they will all depart to other clubs at contract end.

Kalyn Ponga savagely trolls Corey Norman over Newcastle's signing of Tyson Frizell

Kalyn Ponga has savagely pranked Dragons player Corey Norman, after it was revealed Newcastle had secured the signature of Tyson Frizell.

Footage of a video conference call between Ponga, Knights teammate Conor Watson, Norman and former NRL player Isaac John emerged
on Twitter via The NRL Roast on Friday, just hours after Frizell's signing was confirmed by the Knights.

The NSW and Kangaroosgun agreed to a three-year deal with the Knights that was tabled to him back in January, despite the Dragons deeming they offered Frizell "one of the most substantial offers in St. George Illawarra history."

The NRL has reportedly refrained from registering the new contract given the complex financial environment created by the competition's suspension due to the coronavirus crisis.

However, Frizell is expected to link up with Ponga and Watson at the Knights from 2021 onwards.

Much like the rest of the nation, players from all 16 clubs are currently house-bound, with the 2020 season currently on hold and possibly not to return again this year.

But that didn't stop Ponga having a cheeky dig at Norman and celebrating his club's latest star acquisition.

"What's all the behind-the-scenes saying? What's going on at the Knights?," John asks Ponga.

"Frizell, oh.... what a signing man!" Ponga responds with a cheeky smirk.

Norman can immediately be seen in the background with a less-than-impressive expression on his face looking towards the camera.

"Sorry Normy, sorry brother. Oh shit, Normy's there - rattled!" Ponga says.

"Handy little pick-up!" John replies.

Norman recently admitted he was "pissed off" with the way the Dragons had started their season with disappointing losses at home to the Tigers and Panthers.

The loss of Frizell, arguably the side's strongest player, and the subsequent dig from Ponga will undoubtedly rub more salt in the wound.

When Ponga leaves for the AB’s I’ll troll the Knights.

Waterboy’s finished.

Let the post-mortems begin
I would say:
  • Mary is finished
  • Some highly paid players will have to take big cuts in salary
  • Some Sydney clubs will have to merge with others
  • All clubs will have to contribute Club funds to finance their salary cap

Norman is up there with some of the duds we have got over the years. He needs to be moved on, even if we need to pay his new club. Maybe at the end of 2021 Hunt needs to be moved on also
