Well it's official. The comp will return in 5 weeks, and the best news is we will get to keep our competition points...oh wait...

It's so tantalising, so many questions remain unanswered... How will we throw away our next match? Which other players will leave in search for a premiership? What excuses will they find to retain Mary!?

I am so excited. I can't wait for more of this.

Misery could be right but what our coaches have got to do is get the guys to just go out and have fun and throw the ball around. They don't have much to lose anyway.

Whilst they have said that the games will return on 28 May, I still doubt that this will happen - possibly an extra week or two after. Training can commence on 4 May but I think that with all the scrutineering that will be going on to maintain health and safety protocols, the players will be pissed off after a while.

If this start date is being queried by Nine then there would appear that a lot more water has got to run under the bridge and many hurdles still to be jumped over before the games will start. If there is a need to review the start date the guys involved in determining this, Wayne Pearce and Co., needs to have all fingers on the pulse of the flow chart and lots more butchers paper to brain storm the committee and write down the structure of the competition quick smart.

The Project Apollo meeting for tomorrow (Friday) has been deferred until mid next week because of the further negotiations required between the broadcasters and the NRL to sort out funding, programming, number of games etc. When you have so many involved in the mix you end up with a sloppy result.

So you can see that all this deferral means a later start date which may end up with a reduced number of games which also means a not so attractive competition in my view.

It's a case of one step forward and two back at the moment! The members of the committee are using their fingers and hands to delve into the food and drink thats being served to them and they like to take their time to enjoy the fruits of their labour. Similarly the ones trying to make a deal think they are doing the show Deal or No Deal and are too stubborn to work out which one to take.

I have been at a few sport lunches where Pearce has been and boy oh boy he is anything but the sharpest tool in the shed.
If they want project Apollo to have any credibility then having Pearce heading it up is just laughable.
The man that thought horse riding was a good bonding thing to do FMD what a genius.

Banjo is six next week and weighs 37 kgs due to Lola and a definite milk drama here in Philippines.

Too many parties involved and yet it seems they still have not sat down with Department of Health of both States NSW & QLD. This should have been the start point.
I can see CH.9 wanting to seriously save on expenses and use the NRL in a legal capacity that they failed to meet their contract obligation.
IMO there’s a lot of water to further pass under the bridge before this proceeds.
And then what happens if restrictions are eased and we get a large community spike of coronavirus. Game over again!

Agreed.
Pearce & Freddy were great players and decent enough guys but were short-changed or had their heads in too many scrum to provide any comment of intellect.
As many have said, they are just the friendly faces of the nrl for the public to see and get warm & fuzzy.

Todd was also their go to feel good guy
Channel 9 are not the be all and end all much to their anxst in this matter
They are losing their stronghold..and just for a balanced view just read FoxSports news into the same matter who are also just another part of this...
