So many excuses for being a heartless merkin... You do you bro.Well when you have the PM criticizing us for trying to keep people safe, the federal trade minister blaming us for worsening the countries economy for staying closed, dckhead Palmer taking us to court with the backing of the Fed Govt, NSW premier telling us we shouldn't be closed etc you cant help but think he would be a little 'told you so' when proven to have been right. We copped loads of flak from the east during may and early june for our stance. Don't have a lot of time for pollies normally but McGowan has done a sterling job in his decision making and not bowing to the pressure from the East coast, and this has proven to be another good call by him.
Got nothing to do with sympathy levels for the struggles those communities effected again are going through, we all feel for them and hope we can get on top of it quickly. Come on Brits, get that vaccine working!

Yeah feel for them so much you're having a laugh? Righto.
Probably just a poor choice of words mate, no big issue here.Well when you have the PM criticizing us for trying to keep people safe, the federal trade minister blaming us for worsening the countries economy for staying closed, dckhead Palmer taking us to court with the backing of the Fed Govt, NSW premier telling us we shouldn't be closed etc you cant help but think he would be a little 'told you so' when proven to have been right. Couldnt they just play the games against those sydney clubs at the central coast or something if QLD wont let them in?Looks like the NRL is now the QRL.
I doubt 3 QLD teams and one Vic team will be wanting to permanently relocate to Sydney
Who knows. With it only being announced the NRL will be frantically in discussions. They’ll have to either move the comp to NSW or Qld from herein.Couldnt they just play the games against those sydney clubs at the central coast or something if QLD wont let them in?
What if the Sydney out break grows? They'll be stuffed. Time to move out of Sydney.if exemptions aren't granted the NRL has a money vs health decsion on its hands. If they decide to move all the QLD teams into a hotspot to save a buck its not going to be a good look for the code.
'Nothing has changed': NRL to forge ahead despite QLD border closure

ARL Commission chair Peter V'landys says "nothing has changed" and the NRL will forge on uninterrupted despite news anyone from Sydney will be banned from entering Queensland from Saturday.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk caught the rest of the country off guard when she announced the state's borders would be closed to the greater Sydney area from 1am on Saturday.
But V'landys told theHeraldthe NRL will not be forced to move clubs or matches in the wake of the news.
"Nothing has changed. I don't understand what the problem is," he said.
"We had an exemption when we first put the protocols in and they were submitted and approved when the whole border was closed.
"Now they're only closing Sydney. They've already closed it to hotspots in Sydney and we still had the exemption. All we had to do was reinstate the original protocols, which we have done."
The three Queensland clubs and the Melbourne Storm - who are currently based on the Sunshine Coast - have also been forced to adopt the strict protocols, which stop players from visiting local cafes, restaurants, gyms, pubs and clubs.
"They weren't under those protocols before. We have simply reinstated everything to what it was when the competition came back - and the risk was greater than it is now.
"Anything is possible in these days but I can't understand how any (of the exemptions) will have changed when all of the protocols have already been approved."
If the situation changes, the NRL will explore two options.
Their preference would be to move the three Queensland clubs and the Storm - who are currently based on the Sunshine Coast - into regional NSW.
If that isn't possible, Sydney NRL clubs will almost certainly have to relocate and matches will have to be moved.
The Sydney Swans and the Greater Western Sydney Giants will not wait and see - they have already begun the process of moving themselves north, where they will join the rest of the AFL's teams in Queensland.
The two AFL clubs, who have been on standby to relocate for the last two weeks, will fly out at the earliest opportunity.
Rugby Australia is also exploring its options to ensure Super Rugby AU can continue, with the NSW Waratahs and the Western Force currently based in Sydney. The Waratahs have a bye this weekend but the Force host the Rebels at Leichhardt Oval on Friday night.
The Melbourne Rebels and the ACT Brumbies are both based in Canberra.
