As long as they stand 1.5m apart I can't see a problem.

Maybe we just tell fans they can turn up with a massive flag but they have to stand far enough apart to wave them without hitting someone.

I meant the flag and signs only... no fans allowed in. Fans could register their gear with the club before the game to be placed on the hill/seats etc. or let them in before the game to do so themselves..

although if it’s feasible I think another idea would be to draw out appropriate number of members (ie number of 500 less teams staff etc) from the home team to come and be allowed to watch..

Whatever measures that are needed will be implemented. Being alarmist and trying to make something dramatic out of nothing does not help.

Don’t be blind. We will all be in our bunkers not working for at least the next year and a half, NRL hopefully being back in by June next year. We will get food from airdrops and obviously won’t have to pay electricity or water or gas as essential workers will work for free for 15 months. It’s nuclear winter get used to it.

not what I’m arguing idiot. Go back and read what I said. Whoever they are using would have an opinion based off the CURRENT situation, and I don’t see why the nrl can’t act on that NOW and tailor their response as the situation changes

now read what I said again prior to responding

with thanks
No problem.

”Ok so by that logic they’ll never be able to make a decision as it’ll forever be changing. Make a decision with the facts you have now ffs, not rocket science.“

Now do the same, take your own advice. I’ve even cut & pasted my 2 responses below for you.

Because this is evolving day by day, hour to hour. The medical profession is still learning about this virus. The bio security person then applies the newest information to the NRL scenario & apply those decisions to what is in the NRL’s best interest. This needed to be explained?

It’s not rocket science you say.
I’ll repeat this for you, This is an ever evolving situation & the medical professionals are understanding & learning more about this virus daily. So it’s a considered response to listen to experts. Then make changes to implemented policy & the NRL’s response as deemed appropriate. I hope this basic rationale sinks in this time.

3rd time lucky, I’ll try to simplify it for you. You cannot implement changes for a scenario in a months time, because you have no idea what the scenario will be in a months time. You can make changes for tomorrow or the following days with the caveat that it could change before then, which is what the NRL have done.

You’re welcome.

The Warriors should come home NOW.

Not after round 2, not when the competition is inevitably suspended after a player gets Covid-19, NOW.

If the NRL needs a 16th team & an 8th game per weekend to fulfill broadcast contracts then either promote a Qld cup team in the Warriors place, or scout out a composite team from the 2nd tier.

Hell, it might even be a back-door way towards expansion to 17 teams once the Warriors are back next year.

How does the business maintain itself for the next year if they go home now? Serious question, I don’t know any business that would be viable without trade for a year.

But you should be prepared to start strict social distancing. You should be supportive of it. Even if it wrecks our NRL season. Even, and this is tough I know, if it causes you a lot of financial hardship.

Because if we don't put in those measures and become like Italy, the woman from this article, and thousands like her, is in a lot more trouble than from any recent flu outbreak.
And I will be when the authorities tell me to, not some guy on the internet who may not know what he is talking about! The government has followed the advice of the Chief Medical Officer, what else are they supposed to do?

And how come footy crowds are banned and yet if you catch the peak hour train or bus to work and back which is effectively the same as going to 2 footy games a day in terms of what you’re exposed to, that’s somehow ok?

How did they come up with the number of 500 anyway? So if you get a crowd off 499 together it’s safe but the minute the 500th person turns up lookout

Its the number scientists have been using for their models around the world. The line has to be drawn somewhere and that’s where they’ve drawn it knowing more than you or I.

Yes thank you. I do realise that, I was just being flippant for the sake of humour.
