China isn't there because they went into full scale lockdown.

They stopped the spread by taking extraordinary measures.

But nah, let's not because... economy?

Where did I say not to do full on lockdown?

It is this uncertainty that is the issue. If you knew it was 2-3 weeks then good.

I have then annual leave for that. I would also pull my kid out of school. I won’t yet cause no idea how long it will be for

I don’t have the annual to take 2 weeks only for it to be mandatory lockdown for a few weeks after.

Businesses can play for such a shutdown like we see over christmas. It is the having no clear path forward that is the issue not so much the time off

Is it appropriate that the chairman is doing media interviews representing the nrl with a massive nsw racing branding behind him? Seen three interviews with him today, where’s the ceo gone?

And guess what they did? Locked down the population immediately. The thing you reckon we shouldn't be doing.

It isn’t a new problem. We only just put the ban on flying. So far behind where it could be and just dragging it out

Assuming I decide to leave my kids home from school...how much school will they miss?

I have 12 days of annual..I can’t take it now because no set plan as to when we back to nomal.

Same too for a busines. Hard to plan going forward when you won’t know how long reduced capacity will be

A lockdown you would have those answers. Having it drag on til who knows when is what causes the issues

The NRL looks like those dirty European backpackers begging for money in Thailand and Cambodia so that they can keep travelling.

What a shambolic organisation

V'Landys won't be getting a cent from Governments. Anyone believing that is a numbskull.

All he has done is allowed the media and the games enemies to pronounce loudly that the game is weak and unstable. As well as concerned not with community health.

Hopeless leadership. Completely not what is needed in a time of severe uncertainty.

Vlandys mentioned they are chartering flights for the clubs this weekend. Makes sense, travel aside the players would have to be some of the lowest risk people in the country. Chartering flights takes away even more for the risk for them.
The biggest risk for players will be partners bringing it home from work/shopping/etc and (especially) kids bringing it home from school. There will come a point where players are going to have to be isolated from their families if this is to work.

Not a great look going cap in hand to the government via the media when there are people panicking and hospitals being pushed to the brink.

Do it behind closed doors, we as a game aren't gonna get much empathy from the average punter out there.

Old Rugba Leeg hasn’t done one thing that has impressed me since he took over. From his negative comments about Perth to yesterday’s little sooky doomsday rant, this bloke has been a backwards step from
Beattie for mine.

The 'discussion' of epidemiology on 100% Footy may be the lowest IQ television I've ever seen. If Kerry Packer were in charge of the network it would have been the first show pulled off air since Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos.
It was absolutely cringeworthy television, Gal handled himself okay but Joey and Fittler looked like absolute turnips. Celebrities need to learn to stay in their lane when it comes to issues they know nothing about

It is doomsday though. No end date in sight

Don’t be silly! Vaccines are years away! We’ll all be dead by then.

To be fair, this is a treatment not a vaccine.

Institutes in Canada and Germany believe they’re close. But the earliest timeline for mass production in November.

Lol no they didn’t. They locked down a portion of the population several weeks after it first spread. Stop talking shit.
