It was about Craig Field being charged with murder
So you can read and comprehend what you have read.
Then the Tele articles
Thanks to your rants
Then the LU lynch mob wanting him hung drawn and quartered because they know what happened
A lie, not one person has wanted him hung, drawn & quartered. Your assumption & your assumption alone.
It then went off an a tangent about how police distort the truth, the papers run with it and how the police can and do make grave (deliberate) errors that result in situations like Brett Stewart.
Partially thanks to your rants, with a bit of help from your conspiracy theorist & truth distorter CT. I enjoy how you overlook the simple premise that Police conduct investigations. If there is enough evidence to charge him, they do. Then it is up to the courts & judicial system to determine guilt, no-one else. Is that concept a tad difficult to understand?
But it's ok with the tax dollars saved on trials, courts and judges under the LU restorative justice program, we will soon have a waterfront mansion for every man woman and child.Brilliant
WTF, take your meds.

You're an a-grade loooonatic.

Pretty sure while i was on deployment overseas with real life actual bullets going each way downrange myself and my mates (some of which were wounded or killed) took our military and the military that were shooting back at us VERY SERIOUSLY.

I now live in Ipswich (one of the supposed high crime rate areas) and have done so for the last 12 years. In that 12 years my cicvil liberties have been encroached on by the police 0 times. That is 0 times in 12 years all i do is not committ crimes and shockingly the police dont taser me.

I have been random breath tested 3 times in 12 years and stopped for a random roadworthy check on my vehicle once. On all 4 occasions my license has been checked and funnily enough that does not bother me as I have no reason for it to worry me.

i know, incredible isnt it, i dont break the law, and i havent been tasered yet either.

such a hard concept to understand.... hahahaha

Listen to Naomi's lecture or get off the pot. 45 mins you twit. Surely you make more time
than that before you address a civil liberties conference.

Who ya gonna lecrtocute BRO! Go and stick your tongue on a 9 volt battery.

Getting close to melt-down. Posted at 1.30am. I hope you'd had a few drinks or something. If not, well...

Fire, you should be awarded an OAM for services to trolling for your contributions in this thread. I wonder has CT twigged yet?

Now while CT may have already violated Godwin's Law in the traditional manner, thus making my point moot, I think the definition should be extended to include references to 9/11 or JFK as well as Nazis/Hitler.

Nah. It works for Nazis/Hitler because while there are situations where power is abused in such a way that comparisons can be drawn to everyday life, using them in arguments is just a cheap way of adding gravitas to something that usually isn't very important at all. Doesn't really apply to well known conspiracies.

CT is very much a wacko (only crazies fear the 2012 Crows Nest cop train) but people are way to apathetic about civil liberties in general. We aren't very good at working out where our "line" is in relation to this stuff, and that leaves laws and processes scope to slowly creep over freedoms. We're a fair way from it, but we are continuously moving towards a world where laws like these can be used to subjugate a populace. That won't happen because we have an extremely tame political system, but if things were to turn sour for country socially or economically a different type of politician could emerge and these tools could be abused.

That obviously has to be balanced against personal safety of citizens right now. It's a difficult problem because it's abstract and complicated, particularly when arguing from the side of the civil libertarian.

I think we should be thanking CrazyTigerParanoid Delusional Dragon, this will end up in the classic thread section. It's a 50/50 chance at worst.

You really should be outlining your opinions in essay form rather than resorting to one-liners, you know...

true. i should have specified whether pistol pete and crazy tiger had put their tin foil hats back on (or should that be taken them off?). i'm not sure which way would be better for such people. i am a fan of meds for such people though

What do you all think of the govt (and libs) pushing thru this internet monitoring bill ??? Do you think they should be allowed to see that you may think that Ben Creagh is a cat, you prefer 2 women, 1 guy in your pr0n scenes and post on messageboard that you think Juliar's hub is a meek turd or do you think you should be able to do as you please without big brother watching and/or persecuting/target marketing you ?

I can't honestly believe how stupid some of you.

Please also tell me about all those terrorist attacks since 9/11 that have destroyed the west and our way of life. Then tell me how many people have been killed by drink drivers. The terrorist `threat' is peddled by governments to scare the masses into giving up their freedom. Nothing more, nothing less.

Let's be honest if some deranged nut wanted to do damage they could do it on any train or bus in rush hour. That it hasn't been done is because either the police are wayyyyy too clever and have thwarted these numerous pending attacks, yet charged no one, and convicted even less (which we know is not the case because most cops would struggle to count to 3 without resorting to their Ms Helena VHSs) or is it that they (the lurking terrorist threat) really have no interest in taking out 100-200 sydney siders and thus the `threat' is politicians and the police trying to scare and/or con an incredibly stupid and gullible population ??

So terrorism doesn't exist? Was it a few of your mates that committed the atrocities on September 11, 2001?

^ What you say here is interesting. May you explain further please as I am interested to hear your thoughts.

1. Do you think Australia is on it's way to being monitored and censored to the extremes of China?

2. Or do you think that the Australian government is taking us (i.e., the citizens of Australia) for lackeys?

9/11 happened and I am an `enemy' of the terrorists and jihadists on 2 fronts (as a westerner and one other). But the terrorist threat portrayed to us here to justify the loss of ciivil liberties was a bullshit line pushed to a scared and gullible population who swallowed it hook, line and sinker.

You only have to look at Conroy's internet censorship bill to know that is the way things are headed. I think Australians by and large are lackeys or have too much of a `she'll be right' attitude in that they are far too trusting of the establishment and that the establishment has their interests at heart. The establishment has the establishments interests at heart. Do they really think the blocking of a site will stop people going there ? Has prohibition of drugs stopped drugs ?

The iiNet case is a massive blow to the federal govt and law enforcement agencies as to what happens on the net as it basically said an IP Address is a router address and basically `any bugger logged into that router coulda done it my wifi was unsecured'. So what better way to control the net than to see who is looking at what.

Let's say a party knows an internet user votes one way or another. What is to stop the govt offering incentives, or ordering ATO audits as retribution etc etc etc ?

Look at how the governments around the world got down on hands and knees to suck the collective c**ks of the film and tv studios recently with SOPA. These same studios that were charging $30 for a CD back in 1990 (let's say $50 of today's money) and ripping off the man in the street. Now the tides have turned and everything is available freely on the net and they don't like being dicked by the little man so they go to court and try and sue the little man and/or the ISPs. TPG used to send cease and desist emails but did anyone heed them ? Did they f**k.

People will get around them. VPNs, seedboxes, anonymous trackers you name it, pay for nothing, steal everything and give these turds what is coming. Actors earning 20 mill a film will be a thing of the past when you can leech it the day it is released and the studio gets nothing. Even better is Rusty might be forced to sell soufs. What's not to love about this brave new world.

The next ones to be dicked and f**ked over will be the mega media companies like News. Do you really think the NBN is so aunty dot can load smh quicker on her pentium 2 ? Seriously ?? In Singapore they are rolling out Gigabit fibre connections as we speak (and there are no download limits on their plans). Fibre of such speeds (and like we are getting with the NBN) will cripple News, Time Warner etc. Why pay for fox when some bloke who has will stream it onto the net gratis. The telecomms companies are complicit in this ultra ultra high speed fibre rollout, the only effect of which will be to destroy FTA and cable TV platforms, mark my words.

Good old Telstra are charging me $2 a month more to go from 200GB @ 30mbps to 500GB @ 100mbps. Do they think LU and smh are the reason I wanna go to that level or do they probably know i wanna leech and download as much shit in a month as humanly possible ???
