As much as people on here dog the footy show, believe me, living in Adelaide and having The Eddie and Sam circle jerk 90 minutes on, it is way less pretentious, annoying and it lets the players at least have a personality if they want on there.
It is funny, Sydney folks complain about the NRL footy show and say they wish it was more like the AFL one, but every person who I have shown the NRL show to has said "i wish the AFL one was more like that.."

He did that American comedian thing, you know where they mistake talking about everyday life as a joke....."T-shirts, where are the sleeves?". McLaughlan was pretty much no worse than the Jerry Seinfeld snipets at the start of his great show. He was another that should never have been let near a microphone.
