lol @ anyone who thinks they're objective

I admit hasman comes across as a biased moron, but that doesn't mean the rest of us have any right to get on our high horses about being objective.

It's pretty obvious that the majority of people complaining about this already had it in for Osborne and/or the board. They're also the only ones who think these tabloid snippets prove anything.

I agree. This last episode or crisis ( whatever you want to call it ) is not unlike a radio broadcast of War of The Worlds back in the day. I wonder how many Romeo and Juliet overdoses and bridge jumpers will come from them thinking that it was the end of the world that was the Parramatta Eels ?

Unfornatley you believe to much stuff being written in the Papers, Ossie might have done nothing wrong and Spags has nothing to be guilty about if only you knew how much money spags puts in this club you would know how much he loves this club. The way I see it is You not working for the leagues club and thats why you have a Vendetta against Spags jst calling it the way I see it.

"Unfortunately" if you continue to write like an 8 year old no one will take you seriously.

Exactly Poupou. The tabloid snippets don't prove anything.
All will be squeaky clean and smelling like roses in no time. Just wait and see.

If the papers don't prove anything, how can you be so confident?

Not proving something is different to proving something hasn't happened. You should probably wait and see. In fact, you're going to have to anyway.

Well it sounds like I have no choice.
But I'm still confident nothing untoward will be found.

I'm objective because I have it in for all of Osborne, Spags AND the papers.

We're talking about a decent sized organisation here, so you can bet something 'untoward' has happened somewhere along the line. Let's not kid ourselves. As to how serious or minor those things are, we'll just have to wait and see.

One thing's for sure, those who don't like the current admin will make mountains out of molehills, and those on the other side will play down whatever happened. As it has always been.

re: football side of things.

Are you serious?

When they took over we were a struggling bunch of losers with about 3 blokes who were of first grade standard.
Somehow we started winning after they took over, and SOMEHOW made the grand final.

Last 2 seasons we've actually competed fairly well - but without the halves neccessary to turn pressure into points and so win football games.

So the football side of things = bringing in a new recruitment officer, sacking the useless old one; bringing in a new coach who had full say over players and 'player pulling power' - and then using that power to recruit a stack of big names for the future.

If that's destabilizing you should try making sense of what Cronulla do each year mate.

You're putting what happened in 2009 down to the board?

I do expect Kearney to enjoy better success than DA had in the coming years (other than 2009) for the simple fact that he has the support of the board and DA didn't. That sort of fractured relationship was never going to work. Unfortunately the board was very, very unprofessional in how they went about things. They're still unprofessional in many ways now but as I said, at least they're not trying to destabilise the coaching staff.

As for the recruitment of players, good on them. They chased about 400 different blokes but luckily they were bound to land a few eventually. I certainly expect significant improvement in 2012. Then again it should come as no surprise. The Eels have historically had more ups and downs than the Charlie Sheen.

I don't see why this has to be current board vs previous board, recruitment vs recruitment, coach vs coach or 2009 vs 2011.
As far as I can see there appears to be a bad egg. Get rid of the bad egg when required, hope he doesn't cause too much carnage and/or bring others down with him then get on with life as normal. It happens in every organisation. How it is dealt with is the important issue.

Mate, I was anti-Emperor as well so it's not about board v board. And I like Kearney so it's not coach v coach either.

It's certainly not 2009 v 2011 because this year's squad was woefully bad.

Just pointing out that the sun does not shine out of Roy's arse (and his calls to stop the leaks last year were piss-funny. Sort of).
