Let's hope it's all resolved on Monday. History would suggest however that it will drag on and maybe even involve litigation.

Maybe all will be revealed in our regular media release timeslot - wasn't that Weds @ 11am?

They most likely didn't and that's why this failed attempt at a story doesn't have 'exclusive' written all over it. It would appear that they know they won't get the scoop. so they fired their last shot into the air with their blindfolds on hoping to hit a target that's not moving in their direction.

well they seem to at least know the much publicised Fri 11th meeting never happened ... if it had happened then I assume we would have heard some sort of outcome (most likely via the telegraph)

Osborne's job must be safe then. ;-)

Whall15 we don't need a marketing person running the place. We need someone with skills.

Yeah someone with sports administration experience would be ideal, not a former CEO of an electronics company whose NRL experience is simply sales and marketing.

So you think that someone who has worked with 3 different football clubs doesn't know anything about the sports administration side of the business ? The first rule in sales and marketing is to know everything about the product you're selling.
I've spoken to the guy and from the conversations I've had he knows a lot more than just sales and marketing. I was speaking with Steve about his time at the Tigers and he knows the guy who coaches Keebra Park whom I also know personally. I found it interesting that he knew Greg, who you could say is a part of their junior development team - especially now as you have made me realise he is just a salesman that ran an electronics company once. He is an ideal replacement should Ozzy decide that it's not worth the cost to him and his family to stay on.
BTW Hadley is a scum!!!! I heard how he named some of Osborne's family on the radio which just shows that he will stoop to any level to serve his agenda. I think anyone who puts their hand up for the job should be ready for the personal attacks (i'e on them personally) but attacking someones family and especially their kids by naming them with the intention of shaming them is despicable and a completely cowardly dog act. If he had enough evidence to achieve his desired result of having Ozzy sacked then he would find no need to stoop so low. The fact is he is had no ammunition so he resorted to something akin to chemical warfare which doesn't allow for the decency of identifying who is innocent nor does it take any prisoners. Hadley is radio's version of Saddam Hussein the way he strives for the genocide of our club and I can't wait for the day when they drag him out of the sewer pipe the rat lives in, throw a rope around his neck and bring his pompous ass crashing to the ground.

Tony if he was smart he wouldnt be in marketing.

I've worked in plenty of big organizations to know that marketing people are just marketing people. Not the type of guys you want running the show.

I'd would like to see Cayless get the gig, I know inexperienced but I think that role would suit him. I'd even go for Steve Price.

Ozzies gig doesn't include running the leagues club too hey? Someone mentioned he is in charge of the football club only.
So maybe Cayless would go ok.

I said sports administration experience not marketing experience. He may know a lot but that doesn't equate with experience really. He may be informed about the marketing side of things but please let's not get another amateur.

The guy is far from an amateur ! The position we are talking about is CEO and he has been a CEO. Have you even met him or spoken with him about what he is doing for the club ? I have and I am impressed by his responses. Can you tell us all what specific roles pertaining to the sports administration of our club YOU GUESS he would be inept in ?
He would have nothing to do with coaching, recruitment, player management etc. As CEO he would be solely responsible for the business management side of our club, including marketing, media, memberships, game day logistics, finances and general administration. One would hope that he had very little to do with the team other than providing support in the form of organising logistics and the provision of resources required for them to do their job.
You have made quite a broad statement so if you can be more specific you may enlighten me on what I might be missing.
