there have been no charges laid for anything over the last few years, so this is no different.

The board need to seen to be acting in an unbiased manner, so the best thing would be to call in the investigator again to see what is uncovered.

I wonder if there will be a report added to the leagues club site explaining the recent settlement negotiations.

We need a new investigator. The last one went into receivership a couple of months ago. ;-)

Yeah many people who have had any personal interaction with him would agree with you. Lets just say that my one and only personal interaction with him wasn't what you would expect from a club CEO to a group of loyal fans. You would think the people who help pay his wages would deserve some acknowledgement and respect!

I have found the opposite the two times I've come across him. Once I had to be quite blunt to stop the convo when I was going to miss the train on the way back from the Dogs v Parra final in 09.

I don't remember exactly but based on our 2011 season there is a good chance we ran into him after yet another loss so maybe he was just in a bad mood. It is safe to say that after the 2009 preliminary final he would have been a bit happier.

what ever is happening you can bet one thing, the media would only know about half the story.

Subjecting yourself to an unnecessary media investigation (and is there any other kind of media investigation?) is a publicly degrading and humiliating spectacle. Even if you come up rosy there is the perception that the media f**ked you around at their whim and you had no choice but to tapdance for them.

In this instance most organisations will issue some form of 'no comment' (as we have already done) which is the most professional response to muck-raking from tabloid 'journalists'. I know us fans want to hear more from the club but the fact is it's not the club's job to jump through hoops every time the media prints half a story. I'd say the largest subset of people who think this is seriously damaging the club's reputation are people who already dislike Paul Osborne. If people want to see him torn down then that's what they'll see. It could be that his ability to polarise people is what has made him a media target.

There may well be wrongdoing here, but so far the only thing the Fairfax press have proven is their continued willingness to create a story.

If he tried to steal money, and the board didn't sack him, and our fans elected this board, then we're f**ked. Because Parra fans are unable to elect a decent board.
