Kimmorley was good tonight.really?
I thought he was pretty crap - thought Robson played much better than him.
Ennis lead the fightback

With the recent salary cap scandal in Storm its debatable whether any of those players from Melbourne are genuinely good. Other than the fact that Cronk has played alongside superior teams(Storm, QLD, Aus) his entire career theres no evidence that he's a genuinely good halfback, as someone mentioned beforehand Robson's been doing a fine job and with a team thats beneath the cap too.Parra NEED a half back and a good one. Cronk fits the bill and good halfbacks dont come up often or cheap. If we have to pay overs to get him then I think we have to bite the bullet and do it. We have the pieces to put around him.
I thought third party sponsorship doesn't count against the cap if the club isn't involved in the process of linking a player to a business/product/company?
I assure that myself and my fruit baskets are in no way affiliated with the Parramatta Eels.
Disgrace if he were to come here and get paid more then Hayne.

not to mention with the game on a knife edge at 12-10 with ten to go he pulled out a 40/20 he could be a real gamebreaker for us plus mortimer and robson could learn so much from himWatching Cronk last night he is just what we need IMO.
Good kicking game, tough defence and imagine Hayne getting passes of Cronk at 2nd reciever with a bit of time on his hands, WOW!
storm would be stupid to let cronk go over inglis. they've already lost their no 6, finch, can't afford to lose their no 7 as well. Plus, i'd rather Inglis come to us than Cronk to the Eels.![]()
no you don't, it's a blight on the game, the game will never be taken seriously by the whole of Australia until news leaves and the NRL can move forward. News is holding the game back along with the QRL.regardless of whether he WANTS to come here or not, we'll be the last club Melbourne will do a favour for despite the fact that we will be paying full freight and some..
Melbourne however need to cover 200K of the caps space for Inglis to go to Brisbane.
you have to love News limited alighned clubs don't you??

Brett Finch is the lynchpin for Storm atm,
He's a utility player that has been manufactured into a halfback, relying on Cameron Smith to call the shots and do the kicking most of the time. To pay overs for him would be a big risk imo.
If he came here we'd never find out if it was a big risk to be honest!
All he'd have to do is kick the ball well and pass it to Hayne with a little bit of time on his hands.
He'd be perfect IMO.
Not for more than $400k though!
whatever Melb is paying him.Can I just ask, how much have we supposedly offered Cronk? Does anyone in the know, know?
