And they would by mixing the SFS/SCG into their home ground roster
4 in each of the venues
the way the tigers have done

4 Against big cross town Rivals at Moore Park .. Dogs , Tigers .. Souths & Parra .. as an example

the other 8 against lesser Sydney Rivals .. like Penrith & the Sharks ( always at Kogarah ) & out of town teams at Wollongong & Kogarah

when will these dopes wake up

We are contractually obligated to play 6 games at Wollongong a season. So Lol@that idea!

In for a terrible round it seems.

these 2 were always going to be 2 of the 3 cr@p crowds
Melbourne being the other

they've been a bit cr@pier then expected , weather playing a role ... but all is not lost

if Bronco fans get off their @sses & support their young team minus its origin stars .. they need all the support they can get today

& the game across the ditch today looks like a belter with no players missing , well through origin anyway ..so hopefully a few Aucklanders get along today
then we might be able to salvage the round somewhat

45K to todays games
19K so far
10K at a minimum tomorrow .. hopefully a few more on a Holiday Monday

& we only fall around 5K shy of the rnd 14 figure from last year of 80K

thats has us only about 10K down on 2010
& considering the wet weather so far this year .. its been unprecedented , I can't recall a wetter year then this one ....
thats pretty darn good.

What's funny about that?
You asked "Wests?", I answered your question. Seemed an out of place and silly question :p

While I do somewhat agree with this idea I think it should be a max of 2 or 3 home games moved to big venues, and the opponents changed yearly. Keep the bulk of matches at Kogarah/Wollongong.

Club crowd averages at the half way point of the season compared to season 2010

Canterbury 18,709 (2010) 26,541 (2011) 7,832 (Diff)
Warriors 13,313 18,330 5,017
St George Illawarra 16,820 20,847 4,027
Newcastle 14,792 17,666 2,874
Cronulla 10,551 13,033 2,482
Sydney Roosters 16,184 17,593 1,409
Manly 13,816 14,964 1,148
Canberra 12,373 13,008 635
Parramatta 17,080 16,684 -396
Wests 18,086 17,269 -817
Souths 17,355 16,364 -991
Gold Coast 17,877 16,606 -1,271
North Queensland 14,340 12,834 -1,506
Melbourne 14,670 12,744 -1,926
Brisbane 34,377 31,923 -2,454
Penrith 13,057 10,019 -3,038
Scope for improvement in a few of these clubs for the back half of the season. Tigers for example should get a big boost with the SCG match against St George, and a couple of games at Leichhardt, Hopefully Brisbane can have a few largeish crowds as well and Nth Qld can surely boost a bit with a better performing side.

21,378 at Suncorp Stadium. For a Sunday afternoon (a time I hear Broncos fans screaming out for from time to time) that's atrocious, but when you consider the omissions and calibre of opposition I suppose it's par. Good crowd in Auckland.

Exact same reasons Dragons got 10k.

Terrible regardless.

As long as the integrity of the NRL competition is compromised through the origin period, attendances of games involving the absence of the home team's stars will be well below par.

Yeah I don't get why people are surprised. Watching half your team + reserve graders vs a crap interstate team is not apealing. Especially when you may be saving yourself for Origin a couple of days later.

Origin kills the regular season.

Is that Northern end of Mt Smart ever going to get a proper grandstand? That hill looks like it's 481948kms away from the playing field.

I got into the stadium and was shocked, really bad crowd.

What's the excuse? overcast? players out? gone away for the long weekend? Pisses me off.
