Storm v Broncos may push 20K. Level 3 on the Eastern Side has been opened up for only the second time this year (last time was the ANZAC Day game against the Warriors).

Weather in Melbourne isn't meant to be too bad either and the only AFL game on Friday is St Kilda (10th) v Adelaide (14th) which is hardly a blockbuster so shouldn't draw away too many of the Storm's fringe fans.

gee I'd hope so ..... all the elements are there for a

" perfect Storm " .. excuse the pun

Weather OK tick
Storm on top of the ladder... tick
Broncos in 4th ..so it looks like a good matchup ... tick
only live opposition & on TV is a cr@p AFL game .... tick
& the Storm game not being shown on TV .. FTA or Pay til 11.30pm.. tick

should equal a much much bigger then normal roll up
& 20K plus should be eclipsed easily
now lets see what actually happens :sarcasm:

Let's have a go, while trying to be a little more realistic than this bloke.

Dogs v Eels - 22k
Storm v Broncos - 13k
Tits v Cows - 11k
Tigers v Roosters - 16k
Sharks v Knights - 11k
Souths v Kiwis - 14k
Panthers v Sea Eagles - 13k
Raiders v Dragons - 12k

Total = 112k Average: 14k

realistic .... you :o:sarcasm::crazy::lol:

Souths will pull 14K against the Warriors will they.. yet could only manage that many against one of their biggest rivals

yeah.. you're realisticing the place up all ova the place aren't ya :roll:

"A sell-out crowd of around 30,000 is expected to watch Cronk's table-topping Storm host fourth-placed Brisbane."
NRL.com

I kinda doubt it though.

We will be somewhat relying on Melbourne this week for a good crowd, the rain looks like it could smash this weekends crowds

Category 1 and 2 seats downstairs at AAMI Park are sold out and they are now selling into the corners for Category 3.

Upstairs on the Western Cat 1 85-87 are pretty much sold out, as well as 74 on the Eastern side.

So all in all, the crowd will look decent down in Melbourne. Hopefully they get a good walk up as well.

Hopefully people don't cancel their plans for the weekend based on some terrible weather mid-week. While it will still be pretty windy and showery on Friday night in Sydney, it should be at least a bit better than tonight and tomorrow night, and come Saturday and Sunday we'll see a huge improvement (though still not 'fine') and by Monday it may very well be fine :)

Problem with getting a good walk up crowd is that the media is already bandying around the words "sell out". Automatically that's gonna look bad as the walk-up crowd will be discouraged.

Correct.
Happens every time at Parra. Sellout or potential sellout announced. Crowd - 18500. :crazy:
