I hate ANZ, so there is my excuse. Play it at the SFS and I might go, I hate the stadium, everything about it is awful, and I would only go there for a GF and ONLY if Brisbane are playing

Sydney excuse No# 1....... blame the Stadium :sarcasm:

Raiders average home attendance 2012 10,190
Sea Eagles average is 14,593

Put another way Manly draw several thousand more per game to home games than the Raiders do.

I suggest when - and if - the stats ever changes you come on flaming the Eagles mate because that is all you're doing.

A few more Manly fans. Hopefully more show up next week or it could be a pretty average crowd.

play it at Suncorp if the Cowboys get through .. its half way between Townsville & Sydney
& it would get 25 to 30,000 there

double what theyll get at the SFS next week
hell there'd be more Manly fans in attendance from SE Qld at Suncorp then Sydney based ones who'll go to the SFS:sarcasm:

Manly's Sydney fans ... don't deserve to get a choice to sit on their @rses instead of supporting their team at a final

lets lock it in for 2013
all Sydney sides except Manly ... get to play home finals in Sydney ;-)

Eagles Average 13,749 at Brookvale
for a defending premier .. thats embarrasing

if the Raiders were defending premiers & Manly running equal 3rd last 8 weeks ago like we were
Raiders 18,500
Manly 7,500

got it ?;-)

Ah yes Dave that lovely little word "IF". The comfort blanket of low drawing clubs in every professional sports league in the world. If only.

Fact is that Manly regularly outdraw Canberra. it is now 9 years in a row. 9 years is not a fluke Dave. it is an established trend.

I have nothing agant the raiders but they are a minnow so behave yourself Davey boy.

PS I'm not a Manly fan

no

it is an established trend only due to the relative success of the 2 sides over the 9 year period
the only fact we really need to look at here is AGAIN .... Manly fans are the embarrasment of the NRL :lol:

ps... don't care who you follow ;-)

Great generalisation there  I enjoy seeing you bag people on this forum who generally do attend games. It's the people not on here that you should direct your ire at.

lockyno1 doesn't count, he's a complete and utter dribbler.

Get over yourself, you're acting like when Perth gets accepted into the NRL they're going to be averaging more than 15k.

On last nights game I think there was 27k dogs fans & 9k Manly fans. Personally I think if it was on sunday the crowed would have been way more, especially since more Manly fans would have turned up(nobody wants to cross the bridge in peak hour on a friday).

anything under 40,000 should be considered ... unacceptable

so the crowd was .. unacceptable

25,000 plus Dogs Fans there .. they held up their end
if it had been Parramatta ..the Tigers or the Dragons, they'd been playing instead of Manly
the crowd would have been 50,000

Unacceptable?

Unacceptable is Canberra's crowd average for the season.

It was a good crowd last night. Anyone saying it should of been 50K plus had unrealistic expectations. It was a week 1 final FFS. Look back over the last 10 years and see how many week 1 finals got a crowd anywhere near 36K.

I look forward to the reasons why the Pirates don't sell out each and every game when they get admitted.

People here are being unrealistic about a lot of things. High beer prices is a legitimate complaint. Accessibility is a legitimate complaint. Charging $5.80 for a midstrength Tooheys New should get you a trial at The Hague.

If you want 80,000 crowds to finals you need to make the appeal of going to the game overwhelm that of staying at home. High food prices, horrible beer and poor accessibility will always lose against buying a steak and a slab and watching at in the best seat in your house with some mates.
