If any team were to be booted of the comp, the least amount of people would give a shit if it was Melbourne. Manly a close 2nd

They quickly swapped over to Dairy Farmers before the Melbourne game started. The hill area looked like it was nearly full already...

my prediction is it will either sell out or go extremely close.

I look forward to the reasons why the Pirates don't sell out each and every game when they get admitted.

People here are being unrealistic about a lot of things. High beer prices is a legitimate complaint. Accessibility is a legitimate complaint. Charging $5.80 for a midstrength Tooheys New should get you a trial at The Hague.

If you want 80,000 crowds to finals you need to make the appeal of going to the game overwhelm that of staying at home. High food prices, horrible beer and poor accessibility will always lose against buying a steak and a slab and watching at in the best seat in your house with some mates.

Beer prices is not a legitimate complaint. Do people go to the footy just to drink? Just don't buy beer. If you can't stand watching your team without drinking maybe you shouldn't follow football.

Thankyou another person with common sense.

with the Swans winning this afternoon, they will get a home preliminary final at ANZ Stadium. If Souffs somehow pull off an upset and beat Melbourne, this will create a dilemma as I would assume that either Bulldogs or Souffs will have to play their home preliminary final at SFS due to both the AFL and NRL prelimin finals being scheduled for Sept 21/22

anything under 40,000 should be considered ... unacceptable

so the crowd was .. unacceptable

25,000 plus Dogs Fans there .. they held up their end
if it had been Parramatta ..the Tigers or the Dragons, they'd been playing instead of Manly
the crowd would have been 50,000
I don't agree that last night was a poor crowd. Let's be realistic about this. It only in 2009 that Dogs vs Newcastle drew 21k at Homebush. Last night was the 2nd highest Sydney crowd in week 1 of the finals. Comparing the crowd to history you realise it was a great effort, particularly by Doggies fans.
