Dragons 18 def Sharks 10 @ WIN (Crowd: 18,292), Wollongong, 3:00pm Ch 9/GEM - thread
Monday 16 July
Roosters v Rabbitohs @ Allianz Stadium, 7:00pm FOX Sports LIVE - thread
Crowd total Round 18: 133,008 (one game left R19)
Crowd average Round 18: 19,001
Crowd total 2012 (135 games): 2,220,738 (one game left R19)
Crowd average 2012: 16,450

Comparison:

After R19 2011: 2,216,836 average 16,300

After R19 2012: 2,220,738 average 16,450 with one game to play

Basically, only a crowd of less than 10k could do any damage to the figures. I'd like to think we're on track for another record year. Double Rivalry Round great idea IMO.

A mixed bag this week but some really positive crowds in there and good to see the round bringing up the season avg.

I'm assuming he meant 28k.

A sell out at Skilled Park or close to it is a real possibility though, IMO.

If you want to boost crowds they should have back to back rivalry rounds, where you play the same team two weeks in a row.... any fights or niggle from the first game will create a week of promotion for the week after....

They do it in the NHL, they have back to backs and it works a treat....

Especially if coaches bag each other in the pressers after....

You'd think you guys would know by now that crowds are not the number 1 priority when deciding fixtures.

As long as TV has the power to choose what games are played when, crowds will be down on list of priorities.
