If you want to boost crowds they should have back to back rivalry rounds, where you play the same team two weeks in a row.... any fights or niggle from the first game will create a week of promotion for the week after....

They do it in the NHL, they have back to backs and it works a treat....

Especially if coaches bag each other in the pressers after....

I've said before that this is what should happen with the Grand Final replays - in say Weeks 5 & 6.

That stand always looks ok. Its always had me puzzled as to why they dont swap the cameras around to show that stand on TV, instead of the stand that always looks empty.

a tad under 20k...fair crowd given a cold monday night, but really that game deserved a 35k + crowd if not an SFS sellout. Sounded good on TV though, wish they turned up the crowd volume for every game like that.

By the look of the lower tier of the west our reserved season ticket holders didn't bother tonight. Couldn't make it myself due to it being MNF

I'm going to run a double check on all my figures to date just to ensure it's all accurate.

Our crowd on Friday was great especially considering the majority of the crowd was made up of dogs supporters. It's understandable though, Parramatta is coming last and most of their fans would have been expecting a large score.

-------------------
What is the capacity for Brookvale? The game this Friday should sell out easily.

Rd 20 predictions:

Fri - Manly v Bulldogs - 20,500 (sell out)
Fri - Titans v Broncos - 24,000 (anything less is a joke tbh)
Sat - Warriors v Knights - 17,000
Sat - Souths v Dragons - 25,000 (wouldn't be surprised if this one nudges 30k though, but poor scheduling IMO)
Sat - Eels v Storm - 8,000 (can't see the Eels fans coming out to this one)
Sun - Sharks v Raiders - 13,000
Sun - Panthers v Roosters - 11,000
Mon - Cowboys v Tigers - 15,000

Too bad, after a promising start to the round it will drop off on sunday/monday. The Panthers/Roosters and Souths/Dragons games should be swapped. Terrible scheduling...

Isn't Brookvale's capacity restricted this year to 18,000 due to construction?

although the hill would surely be shoulder to shoulder.

Revised figures after Round 19... give or take purely on the basis there's been two different crowd figures issued for STGI v CRO yesterday...

Crowd total 2012 (136 games): 2,237,962
Crowd average 2012: 16,456

Compared to after R19 last year

Total 2,216,836
Average 16,300

So we're still well ahead which is fantastic, hopefully another strong weekend ahead.
