Newcastles ground is good enough that they shouldn't need to move anywhere else before the GF, that's not good for them.
What about that rubbish from John Singleton in the paper today, suggesting the Knights play half their games out of Gosford.
Why would they want to play games at a 20,000 stadium when they've already got a 33,000 capacity stadium and their average has the potential to be around the 25k mark?

The Knights don't need to take games there but teams like the Roosters, Sharks and Souths should consider playing Newcastle at Gosford every year. Even coordinate through the NRL with the Knights and sell 3 game memberships.
The other two games could be Manly vs an interstate team and perhaps Souths vs Manly as the big event game.
99,685 so far this round and 2,957,798 this season
To beat last year with 9 matches to go - 166,617 (ave 18,513)
To beat the record aggregate in 2010 - 192,219 (21,357)
To beat the record average in 2005 - 204,058 ( 22,673)
They are all still possible but by no means certain.
We need big crowds from Newcastle, Brisbane, parra and the dogs. Hopefully some of the other ones can pull ok crowds but there are a few questionable games in there.
Interesting that AAMI Park is not on the Week 3 list for preliminary finals, when it was used for a prelim last year. In fact AAMI Park is apparently not suitable for a Week 2 final!
