well the chooks are averaging 11,418 at home so far this season, and today was their biggest crowd at home all year. i think that's ok, not great, but ok. given the union the day prior and all.

more would have been nicer after a win last week, playing the premiers and a nice day in sydney, but they're coming 13th and have the second worst for and against and worst defence overall.

i think it's an ok crowd for the SFS. given it was manly, whose fans are reluctant to travel, and yesterday was the rugby union test meaning members probably had their fill, a bit over 13k is pretty good.

as for the adelaide venture with canterbury, apparently once the afl got a seat at the table at the adelaide oval, they made things far less appealing to play there. so canterbury went elsewhere for more money. fair enough.

If you have a look at Adelaide Oval right now (have a squiz at AU Stadiums on Facebook), you'll find only the main grandstand is left... not really a great venue to host a match at the moment.

Wasnt it Adelaide not properly coming to the table that made them shift it?

Playing footy at Adelaide Oval is awful anyway.

Is it Adelaide's responsibility to grow the game or the games responsibility to grow itself in new areas?

It's at Allianz... why even bother with the ANZ reference?

;)

It's pretty obvious.

I just believe certain games should always be certain grounds. I also understand the deals certain clubs have in place.

Hopefully the ARLC get to work on this which i think they will.

Why is it when any team gets a stadium upgrade with increased capacity the team end's up on a losing streak and the fan's abandon the team.

You answered your own question there Teddy.

Lots of hype around the team will inevitably fade when you've lost 9 of 13. 15k actually shows great loyalty despite the flop of a season they're having.
