So is that 127,045 for the round total? That breaks the old round 9 record of 121,593. So far this season we have had record totals for rounds 2, 6, 8 and 9.

The year is shaping up well but those records are not necessarily valid - in some year rounds 8 and 9 have been affected by byes.
Do you have the average figures after 72 games?

My numbers give an average of 17,589, which is 3rd highest after 9 rounds, only beaten by 2008 (average = 17,793 after 65 games) and 2010 (average = 17,731 after 68 games). The previous record total for a round 9 was back in 1995 when 10 games were played.

Where a dogs playing their home game next Friday ??

Wonder why they are abandoning ANZ for this game...

Bulldogs hierarchy maybe anticipating the Titans not being a major draw in Sydney, and getting paid fairly substantially to play at Suncorp. Crazy I know! Should definitely be following more of a Parramatta type business structure

The short sighted won't look at both sides of the coin. Both Souths and the Roosters are growing their memberships annually. Souths member numbers speak for themselves given that we haven't had any success for 2 generations. The Roosters are making a concerted effort to grow thier numbers too. And they are. Souths recently broke their regular season attendance record and the Roosters were involved in a 40K match just last week.

There are plenty of positives as far as the souths fan base goes. But the roosters are difficult to defend. Weren't more than 10k easts fans there

Actually there were 12k easts fans there.

That doesn’t change the fact he thought you were referring to the easts/Knights game.

There were more than 12,000 roosters fans on ANZAC day anyways.

Fair enough. Communication breakdown I spose.

More than 12k on Anzac day would be very generous. You really couldn't say there was more than 1 roosters jersey per V.

Back on topic. This week is a hard one to pick crowd wise. Looking forward to seeing another 20k in aukland. If their form stays up then their round 13 blockbuster v Melbourne really should be moved to Eden

Because we see sense when we have low drawing teams and take games on the road.

We're one of only two clubs with crowds not yet to drop under 20,000.

The other is Brisbane.
My numbers give an average of 17,589, which is 3rd highest after 9 rounds, only beaten by 2008 (average = 17,793 after 65 games) and 2010 (average = 17,731 after 68 games). The previous record total for a round 9 was back in 1995 when 10 games were played.
Round averages are meaningless after Round 8 in any season at the moment.

After 72 matches in 2011: 1,254,237... average 17,419

After 72 matches in 2012: 1,266,226... average 17,586

So we're in front by about 12,000 total, an average of 167 per game more.

Rather than delete that image, just resize it if it's too big. I used a big monitor so hard to tell at times.

By the way I will clarify that second graph, it's the Season Average up until the point in that season (rather than the average for that round alone).

I think we are plugging along nice so far this season, crowds seem much more consistent with a number of struggling teams posting some decent crowds in recent weeks.

I'm projecting we will average 16,600 to 16,800

Yep - both on target for the record aggregate and record season average.

Really it seems like its Rounds 10-20 that have the biggest impact on the outcome of the NRL season.
