Yes the Raiders crowd was easily halved by the (torrential) rain.

I know a dozen people myself who didn't go because of the rain...and who could blame them.

Cowboys crowd looked bigger then 16k..

Exactly like last years first few games, there were dramas yet again with the turnstiles recognizing season tickets and all 4 of my tickets didn't work and had to be scanned in with a generic paper ticket. I thought the crowd looked closer to 18k personally. I wouldn't be surprised if they do a mid week ammendment to the crowd figure.

just about the warriors crowd, i'm pretty sure the capacity is now 50k, not the 60k that Vossy kept on mentioning (that was thanks to temporary seating). So if you're counting empty seats, you count back from 50k instead of the magical 60k. Looked very full though, except for the second level in the south stand

Correct. The capacity of Eden Park is 50k. The temporary seating (which increased the capacity to 61k) was only used for the Rugby World Cup tournament last year.

There were a lot of empty seats on the Western (camera) side of the ground in the middle and upper tier (when the camera panned out in that direction). 35-40k seemed about correct.

I guess that helps explain it.

What was the capacity for the R1 game last year?

I know a good 10-12 people that went to the pub instead of going to the Raiders game due to the weather. As a non-Raiders supporter, I can't justify freezîng my nuts off in the wet at that Soviet looking mess of a stadium

I know it was bad weather but I still thought in the first game of the season at least 10,000 would turn up.

How good does Liechardt look when it's full and on a sunny day???

One of my fave Sydney grounds for sure.

19,762 at leichhardt today.

That gives us a total pf 131,410 for the round with one game to go. To better last years record in round one of 200,305 Souths and the Rorters will have to draw a crowd of 68,896. I don't see that happening.
