Pretty awesome that the biggest crowd by some margin was in New Zealand.

Parra, Panfers and Cowboys home crowd's are woeful considering the opponents.

Raiders is poor but Storm would be one of the smaller drawing "away" teams in the comp I guess.
Parra and Cowboys poor yes.

Panthers was probably fair given the conditions at Penrith - and the difficulty some fans may have had in actually getting to the game.

I was at the game and would be surprised if more than 1000 Roosters fans showed up.

I was at the game and that is BS... I was a Neutral so I'm not biased (If anything I hate the Roosters more)!! Crowd split IMO was 5K Roosters, 13K Rabbitohs.

Roosters fans absolutely pulled their weight for an away game at that shithole homebush on a Monday. Souffs members as usual nowhere to be seen.

Yep. Roosters had a 100% attendance rate, all fans in existence showed up. Very disappointing from the Souffs sticker brigade again

Is there anymore of a joke in the competition than 5(c)uff$?

- CEO predicts 30k - 18k turn up
- Almost always draw a home crowd of less than their membership base
- Blame every failing year on 'injuries'.

Even my sister who doesn't follow league that much last night asked if 5(c)uff$ had a salary cap with all their name players - and how come they are crap...

Yeah you can't blame us for a shit crowd when every second and third seat was empty in the Souffs section on either side was empty. We we're also louder as well :D

There is no way they have 20,000 members.

The mystical 22,000 members of 50uff$ has once again been proven as mythical. I am convinced that either rusty buys 10,000 memberships to increase the numbers or they really do provide a membership with every dole payment.

Then of course we have the inevitable “it was the roosters fault”. The following are the last 6 crowds for the round 1 fixture (approx).

07 – 24,000
08 – 29.000
09 – 24,000
10 – 23,000
11 – 28,000
12 – 18,000

All from http://www.stats.rleague.com/rl/rl_index.html

The bolded ones are roosters home games (07 was also a Monday night).

Panthers was probably fair given the conditions at Penrith - and the difficulty some fans may have had in actually getting to the game.

Our fans from the Hawkesbury area would have struggled to get to Penrith on Saturday due to the road closures.

On to this week:

Sea Eagles v Tigers - 19k
Broncos v Cowboys - 46k
Titans v Raiders - 14k
Bulldogs v Dragons - 24k
Sharks v Knights - 16k
Roosters v Panthers - 14k
Storm v Rabbitohs - 11k
Eels v Warriors - 11k

I thought the crowd at DFS was a little bigger than the 16k posted, exactly like last year the season tickets weren't being recognised at some gates and had to be scanned in via a paper ticket so I have a feeling that maybe some of the counting of season ticket holders was out, i thought there was about 18k there myself.

Hoping Roosters fans turn out in big numbers for our first home game on a SUNNY sunday arvo.

18k.

That's 20,000 members not season ticket holders.

I was disappointed with the crowd. I thought we would get to about 25,000. If you can't get a big crowd to our first home game, especially when you are plaiting the Rorters then when can you.

For the thousandth time I'd like to point out that game would have pulled 30k at the SFS

Souths would move back there in a heartbeat

IF

they got the same deal as they do at Homebush
.... ANZ pay Souths a million a year to play there .. the gate is then turned over to ANZ......
they wouldn't make much in gate takings as most attendees are paid up souths members
but they get the catering & pourage ... & they keep their staff working .

I remember reading somewhere Crowe saying the SCG trust should be wearing balaklavas & have sawn off shot guns
they're thiefs

they'd be charged a million to play at the SFS
its a commercial decision
if the SFS want Souths back... they'll need a deal similar to ANZ's
