Poor crowd in Brisbane IMO, the weather wasn't too bad and it only started raining after the game started. And it was a local derby in the supposed home of RL.

A grudge match in Sydney in better weather with 2 top 8 contenders got 6k less. Glass houses and all that...

Both crowds weren't great, but the Bronco's have lost one game all year and have a great entertaining young team. 30k is poor for the apparent home of RL. Suncorp is a great place to watch the footy while ANZ is a souless shithole of a place.

It'll be interesting what we get on Monday night with Mason at number 16. The morning's meant to be wet but evening okay, so hopefully around 20k min.

When's the last time the first 4 games of the round all pulled more then 20k each? Very solid start...
2 ANZAC day games followed by Brisbane and Canterbury home games. Scheduling ANZAC day week like that every year would acheive that. No big deal by itself.

30k in Brissie is disappointing no matter the weather is come derby time it should be drawing 36k minimum the Broncos only lost one year tend to have the most winning team in QLD yet under perform attendance wise despite all there success.

If anything the Broncos should be drawing 40k every week in Suncorp no excuses considering they got the city to themselves and a very successful team since it's existence.

I agree that both crowds tonight weren't great, but it's a bit rich comparing the Brisbane crowd vs the Sydney one. Yes the Sydney grudge match should have been at least 30,000, but you conveniently forget the obvious - Brisbane gets only 14 top-class matches this year, Sydney gets around 100. The Broncos running 2nd and losing only one game all year against their closest rival should have got 40,000, even in the rain.

Struggling to see where the 30k people were at suncorp. Even before the rain started not a single bay looked more than half full. Do they allow seating in the 2nd tier at all times or something? Only reason I can think why it always looks half empty even with over 30k there.

Dogs crowd was expected IMO. Can't have been more than 500 manly fans there. They are seriously the worst supported team in the comp.

I don't understand it either.

They opened up the top bays for people who didn't want to get wet, the 30k was spread all over the place.

You're an afl fan so your opinion doesn't matter.

Great crowds at all venues. It was pissing down at Brisbane.
