As has been said, scheduling a Sunday arvo game for the roosters is a massive waste when many other teams would do anything for one. I know it won't happen because of 9, but the broncos would get even bigger crowds if they played more Sundays.

Rubbish apart from locky and peteros leaving circus the Broncos Sunday arvo crowds are pretty poor

Absolute joke today.

Which idiot set up the draw to have the Swans kicking off an hour or two before us in the ground next door. Car parks were closed by 1:30pm, trust members were forced to choose a game and supporters of both would obviously just rather stay at home and not miss a minute of either game (like my old man).

What was wrong with giving us the Sunday night slot?

Dead set, what a c**k up.

Not just the NRL's fault. The club should have said something in the interest of their own fans, the SCG should have said something in the interest of their Trust Members. It was just poor form all round. I mean why couldn't the SCG Trust in conjuction with the Roosters & NRL organised double passes and made a great day out of what was a beautiful Sunday afternoon?

This game was never going to draw a huge crowd but I definitely think the circumstances on the day had an effect in the end figure. Should have been 15,000 at least.

Not that they missed much it was a pretty dour game.

Weird, one minute people are calling for Sunday afternoon games, next they don't want them. Make your minds up!

My argument is about scheduling clashes, has nothing to do with the Sunday arvo arguments.

Common sense much?

We should ask the afl to put their draw out months in advance of ours so we dont put our games on at the same time, yeh?

I'll explain it from a Brisbanes point of view.

If for example we have a Sunday game allocated to a team like Newcastle, we will get a crowd of 25-28k. The same if it were on a Friday night, because this game (unless newcastle are in sensational form) is no big deal.

If the Broncos get a team that we share a rivalry with, or have a fair amount of support in Brisbane on a Sunday arvo thats when we can build a crowd larger than that on a Friday night.

I fully agree.

If it's mutually beneficial why not? Or are you too petty to work it out with our 'enemy'?

They wouldn't have been too happy with 23k @ the SCG on a sunny Sunday either I don't think.

Souths and penrith on a sunny Sunday afternoon gets 15 k I reckon , no club relies on away fans more then easts, there two decent crowds this yr was on the back of away fans.

IMO they should have been kicked out before norths or at the very least relocated to perth

Yesterday and today should've been swapped. SGI v MAN would've been a perfect 3pm game, and SYD v PEN definitely a Monday night fixture.

Worst fans Manly, followed by Roosters and then Dragons.

Edit: In terms of attitude and not attendance.

From my experience,

Roosters - bad, although no where near as bad as Bulldogs and Souffs fans who remain two of the worst.
Manly - so-so
Dragons - disagree with what you said. They're one of the better behaved groups of supporters.
