Par for the course. Tigpies - Souths was a clear mismatch, the fact they are both Sydney teams only has a slight effect. If they were both firing, sure, 30k.

The crowd from a tv pov looks 95% bunnies. A way to boost crowds even for mismatches or weaker contests is to work in access for the away sides members I.e what bulldogs, souths and parra do at anz currently. Don't see why it couldn't work with tigers at allianz where souths ticketed members could get access. Ideally every game played at allianz and anz between Sydney sides should have access for both teams members included in the package.

The fact it was against a Sydney team is only relevant if the away fans show up.

20k is a great crowd for a night game against a shit team.

No way Brisbane crowd was good.

2 losses, 2 big players out. Standard Friday night. Against a meh team this crowd was par to good.

Ill admit the Broncos are going pretty well this year crowd wise albeit with a strong home shedule so far. Great that they are maintaining there average over 30k when they aren't a gun side any longer

AT VOR - The whole upper southern was sold!

Im pretty sure thays where they have plonked the majority of awesome foursomes? Because the corners were fully empty on the middle tier.

This was by far the weirdest looking crowd i have ever seen at Suncorp.

Bulldogs on the back of one win and a 2-5 start to the season draw 23,453 vs arse-ordinary Tigers...

Souths outright first, certs to win, against the same club... 19,718?

WTF?

Mrs Reason and I can normally pick the crowd within 1000 or so. Tonight we both said 30-31 and were pretty shocked with 34k. The southern top being sold explains it, though, because we couldn't see above our head.

Odd how there were plenty of level 5 gaps at the northern end but 2 (?) bays of level 7 open.

Edit: photo 2 of your is almost directly above my level 5 seat!

We got belted in the two subsequent games (or should I say the dogs game and the sharks because the crowd didn't know we'd get smacked in advance of the dogs game) and there was a $10 ticket promotion for your game.

Stop hating Souths so hard and you might be able to look at things with a bit of perspective.

If you know your team is certain to win you are probably only slightly more inclined to go to the game when you know you are certain to lose. Actually it is probably very close between the two scenarios.

Newsflash: People turn up in numbers to see good competitive games of football.

Surely the Souths bandwagon would come out by now they show up for the Storm game but since then what does it take for a Souths winning team (for once) to get people to show up. We keep hearing about Souths support this, that, 'pride of the league' talk the talk but don't walk the walk at times. Two Sydney teams and get 19k.:sarcasm:

Broncos was decent but Suncorp look weird on TV when considering the attendance.
