16000 at leichhardt in rain. 6000 at Campbeltown good conditions. Embarrassing. If they don't average 12000 there at the very least they should not play there. That is simply awful.

George in regards to what you think will get us 20k avg

1. memberships - significant increase hasn't led to any significant crowd increase so far
2. marketing - yep
3. more use of ANZ stadium - maybe but plenty of sub 20k crowds at ANZ. A Friday night event game of the week might work.
4. reduced ticket pricing and special offers to games. - yep though I'm not convinced a $10 reduction would make that much difference.

At the moment the challenge is to stop embarrassing sub 10k crowds never mind worrying about getting to 20k!

Just keep managing to reach new lows, the sad part is that no one is even surprised anymore and expectations have lowered to the point that crowds of 11k are applauded. But everything will be forgiven because of a couple of decent Easter and Anzac Day crowds, please.

Oooohhhh the moods getting low on here again. I love it!

Everytime I watch a game and see a shit crowd I'm secretly doing a fist pump because I know the peanuts on here will be going apoplectic.

Cannot wait for next week. Really hope to see some heavy promotion of the Good Friday and Easter Monday games. Could be in for 40k plus at both games if they get it right. Would like to see a deal set up for entry to both games at a special price. $30 GA for both games or a $10 add on if you have another club membership?

6.5k at cambo, pathetic.

Tigers CEO has come out and implied that if fans dont turn up for the broncos showdown at cambo then the club will probably play very few games there from next year onwards.

Tigers are struggling to get corporate sponsorship, playing in antiquated stadia can't help in trying to attract blue chip companies. If the fans don't want to go either then they should move to a modern ground fully.

So you apparently get excited over watching people be angry about crowds, and then you spend your time reading their anger, but they're the peanuts?

Campbelltown doesn't deserve to get games if that's the sort of crowd they'll come up with. Imagine if they got a Monday night game. 4th worst crowd since the start of 2012.

Would have been well over double that Leichhardt and ANZ.

If I ran the Tigers I'd put every game I expected 18k+ in ANZ and the rest at Leichhardt.

"I thank the 6500 fans for coming out. They are die-hard fans. I scratch my head wondering what more we can do to attract a crowd at Campbelltown Sports Stadium,'' CEO Grant Mayer said.

Mayer then announced that $10 tickets would be made available for the Wests Tigers’ next home match at Campbelltown against Brisbane in Round 11 on Saturday, May 24. The match marks the 15th anniversary of the club’s first premiership match in 2000.

"Come sit anywhere you like," he said.

"It is a last throw of the dice for Campbelltown to come and show they support their club. Then, we will have to reassess whether we continue to run games here at a loss.

"I feel sorry for the 6500 who did attend tonight. They're the ones who support their team through thick and thin.

"It is incredible to think 16,000 sat and stood in the rain to watch the team win against one of the competition heavyweights but, six days later, we have 6000 at one of the greatest venues in rugby league in Campbelltown Sports Stadium."

Potter said he expected a bigger turnout given the team's recent run of good form.

"It is disappointing to have 6000, I think we're not going too bad. We've won four out of six, I'd like to think we'd have some fans here that wanna come and watch a good game. And it was a good game to watch," he said.

Nofoaluma, one of a handful of Campbelltown juniors in the NRL squad, said he was also disappointed not to see more fans turnout to watch the local products.

"It's a bit upsetting for myself. Being my home town here at Campbelltown, to see 6000 is a bit sad because we've got a great fanbase," he said.

"Pretty much half the team are from Campbelltown. It's a bit upsetting to not see the many fans turn up to our home ground, especially after the performance of the boys and how we're going."

So many local juniors, extremely cheap tickets, winning team, non Monday, what more needs to happen for the people of the Campbelltown area to show up?

Official capacity of Parra Stadium is 20,741 according to the stadium's website

You cannot have more than 19654 there at an NRL game.

2009/10/11/12 games vs tiges all sold out and that was the crowd number.

I though 15k+ last night was a good number. The family terrace end was half empty - can't blame the parents who decided not to sit in the pouring rain with their kids.

Uh-huh. Life's funny ain't it? I mean, of all the things to get pumped up about. NRL crowds. The actual results of the game are largely inconsequential, but to actually feel emotion about the number of people watching?

And it's quotes like these from a bloke who's never actually been to an NRL game, or even held a job that we know of, that make for compelling viewing.

So it seems the writing is on the wall at campbelltown for games. Although they could have given the ground a stronger allocation if this season was a litmus test for future allocations. Cowboys, storm, Broncos and raiders is really not going to result many more than 15k at Any sydney ground, so I'm that respect its a bit unfair of Mayer.

Would anyone hazard a guess where the bulk of the franchise's fans live? Perhaps anz and leichardt only as grounds would suit the majority of the fanbase.
