Just a small bit of trivia - generally throughout each NRL H&A season there are only two rounds at the most where we average 20k in attendances. We're shaping up to have two in a row next week and it'll only be Round 8.

Maybe some one can correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't see two consecutive rounds that have previously managed this since crowds have been kept on record.

that's great! round 26 should do the same meaning 3 rounds with 20k figures and if we can keep the origin lull to a minimum 16.5k if VERY achievable this year. Really, with all the right teams going well we should aim for 17k if possible

dunno how Gus can demand the Government should build a massive stadium at Penrith when they are the only team out that way and haven't had a good crowd this year

what do people think was the eels vs tigers split? i kept getting confused between the orange and yellow. being colour blind doesnt help either lol

Predictions:

Dragons vs Roosters 37k
Melbourne vs Warriors 28k
Broncos vs Souths 45k
Sharks vs Penrith 9k
Cows vs Eels 10k
Dogs vs Knights 20k
Manly vs Raiders 13k
Tigers vs Titans 19k

Avg 22.6k

Dragons v Roosters 39k
Melbourne v warriors 27k
Broncos v souths 46k
Sharks v Penrith 11k
Cowboys v eels 14k
Bulldogs v knights 21k
Manly v raiders 12k
Tigers v titans 18k

Great round in prospect hopefully the weather holds up. I half expected to check the radar and see a storm heading for Penrith tonight lol

Great crowd today. Shows what can be achieved.

If we can raise our floor to the 11k mark even and work on producing more crowds like today and Friday then I can actually see how we can get to a 20k average.

Shouldn't be mission impossible either. Smart scheduling, reasonable pricing etc and it can be done.

putting the wanderers in their place

parra werent that bad today, 2 intercepts and sandows goal kicking the difference, you guys shouldve won

parra need more forwards, tigers forwards were heaps better

We have a quality forward in Mossep injured.

All that money spent on a quality English forward and bad luck strikes us before his first game and he is out for the whole bloody year.

According to big league mag on twitter, crowd at Penrith is 9,555

Thinking back to previous weeks, that really does not seem right.

Anyone else think the 4pm kickoff works really well? I mean if the nrl did switch the Sunday game to 4pm so its live on nine it shouldn't get too many complaints really.

Would happily have 2-3-4pm kick offs on sundays, remove a saturday game (or monday night, but that won't happen).

If Gallop was so good, then why didn't we see an all-Sydney ANZ Stadium blockbuster on Easter Monday while he was in charge?

f**king all we had on Good Friday was roosters v broncos most of the time.

No imagination whatsoever when Gallop was in charge.

Big fan of the Sunday game being live and kicking off at 4:05-10pm with a pre-game show at 3:30pm.

Actually, I was reading an article somewhere on here last month that Ch9 may consider it for Rounds 21-26.

souths / dogs / dragons / eels / tigers all play some nice derbies there this year. if some are in form we may even beat todays crowd, especially if its in the rounds approaching the semis

they should be playing all these games on sunday 3 pm, make tickets cheap like today and they could probably crack 40 - 50k for more than half those games.
