We'll the NRL should put manly and it's council on notice that the ground is not up to NRL standard and if they don't produce a realistic plan to change that then they will no longer have a NRL license. All the time they are told it is acceptable there is no motivation to do anything about it. Gosford has a perfectly good empty stadium just up the coast.
The NRL needs to come up with a plan for the north instead of focusing all their attention on the west. If the Bears are coming in, then bring them in, if not, then rezone the North Shore to be Sea Eagles territory and then something will
have to be done stadium wise in the north. Telling the 1+ million people north of the harbour bridge that the NRL's plan for them is to travel to the SFS or ANZ for every game is idiocy. The north could be a really strong RL area if there was some investment made in it, as it is, we only have one team there playing out of a decrepit old stadium where the experience is completely ruined if there's any sort of rain, and a giant hole that the zombie reserve grade form of the Bears still holds onto, not allowing other teams to do work in the area.
These issues are very solvable, throwing away the entirety of the north, however, is plain stupidity. A call has to be made on the Bears and a decent stadium needs to be built/upgraded.
