Perhaps the NRL should do a DC vs Marvel round next year? Kids love it, and winning the kids is the key to the future prosperity of the game.

Anyone got the crowd figures for the Cows and c**ks?

the NRL and clubs woulda been paid an absolute bucketload of money.

unfortunately selling out is what's required in today's commercial world. it's not like it was in the 80s anymore

Oh please, The Who sold out in the late 60s. It's nothing new. ;-)

Cowboys >>>>>>>>>> nsw crowds. Next week against west tigers will be bigger next week. Nsw teams against each other this week and can't crack 15k.

The whole super hero thing would have made the clubs a sh*tload of money so can't blame them. That crowd on the other hand is absolutely woeful. That and the dogs crowds have got to be some of the worst crowds in some time.

Heading towards a pretty bad non Origin round average.

God you are negative mate

Please only post positive comments on this thread

There are some members who have no lives outside of posting on this forum. And the truth almost drives them to suicide

I fear we will hear of a El Charlotte Dawson incident soon

Roosters-Dragons crowd was a disgrace. Outdrawn on the same night by a team hosting the Titans. Doesn't get more embarrassing than that.

Right... because the two QLD clubs showed us New South Welshmen how to crack 15k tonight :sarcasm: Based on your past logic does this now mean that the QLD market is over-saturated with 6 QLD derbies every year?

You're so agenda driven you don't even realise how ridiculously stupid your posts are.

Vossy just tweeted that apparently 20,000 (equivalent to $3 million in merchandise sales) Super Heroes NRL jerseys have been sold.

They are targeting new supporters like Howard Wollowitz, Raj Kuthrapali and Stuart from the comic book store. This will pay long term dividends.

Outdrawn, you mean, by a Queensland derby?

Not content with downright untruths yesterday about the Broncos, you are now layering idiocy upon idiocy.

To use Jason Maher's argument against him, 8% of Townsville was at the game last night. Awesome effort. That is the equivalent of a crowd of 364000 in Sydney. :sarcasm:

Anyway. Per capita argument. Move on.

Sharks and Eels are the only teams with acceptable crowd averages, the other 14 teams are a complete disgrace.

It has been a while since i made the drive but what is the distance between the GC and Townsville? Because if that's a local derby than you would have to consider Newcastle or Canberra facing a Sydney team a local derby. Not really disagreeing with you but i think some people underestimate the sort of distances travelled to attend NQ home games (by both home and away fans).
