Yep too many miserable merkins in here. For a week 1 final those crowds are way above average.

It wasn't long ago we were getting crowds of 15-20K for finals at suburban grounds.

Fantastic game tonight and all we want to talk about is a crowd figure. Pathetic.

Bulldogs beat Storm tomorrow

Next week:

Roosters beat Cowboys at SFS
Bulldogs beat Sea Eagles at SFS

Following week:

Rabbitohs vs Roosters at ANZ (this will get a bumper crowd, 70k+)
Panthers vs Bulldogs at ANZ (should easily get 50k+ between both western Sydney teams)

Pretty sure the 24,000 cowboys fans tonight outdrew the 4,000 Manly fans last night.

If Storm win tomorrow I wouldn't be surprised if both semi crowds are sub 20k unfortunately.

But the potential Rabbitohs v Roosters preliminary should be massive - and fingers crossed the Panthers preliminary - whoever it is against, should pull a good crowd.

average of 24821 if anyone was wondering. obviously pulled up by brisbane home games and massive ANZ derbies like souths, eels, dogs, dragons etc.

so crowds have been decent imo

Those Allianz crowds are so bad,even the useless Canberra Raiders club packs there stadium easily when they make the finals in Antarctica like conditions,just under 27k against the Wests Derps in 2010 and just under 25k in 2012 against the Cronulla Plods.

One question needs to be asked. Why is rugby union playing internationals during the AFL and NRL finals. ?

I mean i dont watch their game at normal viewing times, but to try and rain on codes parade during finals is nothing short of arrogance.
I wish they would take their rugby to france and japan and leave it their, where it belongs. Weewee Monsour

It would be arrogance if they got a sellout crowd of 40-80,000 depending on the stadium.

They got 14k last night.

It was stupidity.

The sooner the likes of the roosters and manly are down the bottom of the ladder the better. Their fans are a blight on the NRL.

Surely the poosters should start buying some supporters as well.
