Is CityRail doing any track work this coming weekend?

Of course they are!

One that could prove annoying for people going to the Dogs vs Panthers game:

T3 Bankstown Line: Liverpool or Lidcombe to City via Bankstown
Saturday 27 September 2.00am to Monday 29 September 2.00am
Buses replace trains between Sydenham and Central.
Trains run between Liverpool and Sydenham and between Lidcombe and Sydenham via Regents Park, some to a changed timetable.

Why are these dumb merkins doing track work when they know it's finals month?
f**k me dead

They do it because it is the middle weekend of school holidays. Most years the middle weekend is GF weekend so it is better than previous years. I guess they figure that the least impact to the public in general will be at that time due to families going away etc.

I?m not saying it is right but that is the reason. They do it in the middle of the other school holidays throughout the year as well.

Still nothing back from Ticketek regarding the stuff up.

Their number is now constantly engaged.

Yeh I was trying to get 6 reserved tickets together for a mates birthday since Friday night but couldn't, when I rang up and spoke to a lady from Ticketek asking why the CAT 2 bays in the upper East Stand hadn't been open yet she was just as amused as me. After trying for nearly 24 hours we just gave up and ended up watching it at the Casino.

You don't think that's a disaster or are you just incapable of criticising the NRL?

Let me get this right

Because YOU had trouble with tickets, it's a disaster?

Yes - it affected you and it's a shit situation but it is quite obviously the exception, not the rule, given that 28k lobbed up, the ground looked great and the atmosphere was enormous.

That said, I don't understand how you are so simple as to not be able to log on to ticketek and purchase 6 tickets...

The 30000 worth of club allocated GF tickets for the AFL went on sale this morning as well didn't they? You'll have bugger all chance getting through to anyone for a while there unfortunately.

If you have any ability to get to a ticketek outlet I'd do that ASAP. Also couldn't hurt to give the NRL's members services area a call. They actually contacted me after seeing an issue I had with GF tickets in a post on these forums last year and sorted it out. Was top service.

Yeah we were given a refund and had to change from chookpen to cat 2. Worse tickets and cost more as well, bloody annoying.

Does anybody now how to find the pax number?

Pax number down the bottom right side of your ticket.

Mate, you were absolutely screwed. I can't believe they made you pay extra for cat 2 tickets after their stuff up. It cost you a better seat in the supporters area.

Yep massive screw up, but there's nothing they can do really. They can't kick people out of chookpen coz others booked first. Chookpen is single seats only now so next best thing was cat 2. They know they have the demand for this game so I doubt it will bother them very much

Congratulations Manly re the finals crowds. After much criticism you again had the highest finals crowd. You had almost 10,000 more to your home final than the Roosters had to their home final. If only there were Roosters fans that could attend their home final.

Very true...not sure how many at Manly's "home" game actually supported the home team...just sayin

Domestic is defined by who runs the competition. Even though the warriors are in the NRL the NRL itself is an Australian body and thus a domestic competition. SANZAR is a multinational/international (whatever word you want to use) body so it is not a domestic comp. It is the exact same as the FA opposed to UEFA etc.

Not to mention the FA has sides from Wales.

My situation is sorted now. They pretty much offered me tix in same bay a bit closer to the action. I basically demanded it.
