PAX now up to 17k for the Manly game

so will be over 20K by COB at this rate

lets assume 80% of the stadiums 7K members will attend on Friday
we are at just under 30K already
with junior passes being admitted free again

40K isn't out of the question

This has probably been posted already, but here are the home crowd averages for the year excluding finals:

Broncos 33,209
Bulldogs 19,209
Knights 19,186
Wests Tigers 17,852
Dragons 16,174
Titans 15,428
Eels 15,150
Roosters 14,946
Storm 14,246
Cowboys 14,189
Rabbitohs 13,908
Warriors 13,842
Sea Eagles 13,752
Raiders 12,419
Panthers 12,299
Sharks 11,861

Figures sourced from www.rugbyleagueproject.org - excludes R12 double header.
Rooster 8th? Hmmmm sh it season and a few rain affected games which badly impacted the crowds.

We still have no supporters though...

Tim Tam do you have an update including finals? Just interested in what the Broncos and Storm finish with so I can give that idiot Fitzimons (from the SMH) a serve.

He was banging on about the Rebels and Reds out averaging the Storm and Broncos earlier in the year. I'm hoping the leaguies won out in the end so I can give it to that drop kick.

Manly v Broncos game must be selling reasonably well, they've opened up the Upper East for the first time at the SFS this Finals Series and are now selling into Bays 51, 50 and 49.

Parramatta only pulled a crowd of 15000+ 3 times not including the ANZ games.
It was a poor year for a lot of clubs.

Category 1 appears to be selling into the corners of the upper levels, so Melbourne is definitely well ahead of where it was in Week One of the finals.

nothing to do the weather, Qantas and Virgin are putting on extra flights for AFL fans here to get over to melb for next weekends finals game and our weather is nicer than yours, usually. Don't know why some NRL fans are less passionate and more happy to sit at home in front of the TV than some other codes, I am sure someone could write a phd on it! Tickets for Melbournes AFL games next weekend are $40-135 so price isn't the factor either.

For anyone interested...(assuming Perth and Sydney is the comparison here) these two cities are about the same in terms of rainy days, windy days, cold days/nights etc etc during footy season...however Perth would have a few more of the extreme days (due to all the strong cold fronts that slam into the west coast in winter) but Sydney would have some more of those low-mid range 'few showers' type days.

Weather for Syd on Fri and Melb on Sat night is looking good too :) fingers crossed we'll get two weeks in a row of finals with fine weather at all venues!

I spoke to a guy at Ticketek yesterday and he showed me a map of all the bays sold at the SFS for Fri night. Looks pretty good.

I reckon we're looking at 30k at least.
