Every single team in the comp increases crowds with increased success. But some teams have more potential than others. Wests have more potential than Manly for example.

When it comes to crowds having some teams up the top does more for crowds than other teams.

No offense to Manly but sustained success including 8 years in a row of finals, 2 premierships and a current 4th placed spot has given us an average of 13300 this year.

Give that same previous and current success to Wests and I bet crowds are well over 20k.

If the big teams with high crowd potential (fanbase size + stadium size) are up the top it does more for crowds than if other teams are up the top.

If Brisbane, Newcastle and the Sydney big 5 all finished in the 8 in the same season I guarantee we break the crowd record.
