Crowd Watch Thread 2009

Hey don't get me wrong I hope Cronulla's crowds pick up. I just think their 3 home crowds of 10,000, 11,000, and 8,500 just isn't up to scratch. They had a good excuse for the first game as it was ppissing down raining but they got less for the Raiders game in fine weather. The Sharks are dragging the chain at the moment.

People from the Shire are pretty parochial so hopefully they can get out and support their team.

If they included an ethnic lynching and cross burning as the half-time entertainment their crowd numbers would swell.

This rain will ruin any chance of getting near the 30K mark IMO. Which is a huge shame.

Next year the NRL should consider putting the Easter Monday clash at 3pm.

what a shame :(

The clouds look as though they still have a good few hours of rain worth in them

25k would be excellent, probabily will get 20k

The MMM team said 20-25K so far, more will come, I think we'll end up with 25K +

Considering the weather, the official crowd of 22,775 is very impressive.

Fourth largest MNF crowd since its reintroduction in 2007.

Just got back and it didnt stop raining throughout the game and the hours leading into it. A good turnout by both sets of fans and a very decent crowd, if only it wasnt raining, we would of cracked the 30k mark but well done.

the crowd got killed by the rain. Easily woulda been 30k if it didn't rain. 22,775 was very impressive. Pretty good round for crowds this weekend. Well done also to the Souths fans. At least 10,000 of the 22,775 were Souths fans there. Shame about the weather really...dogs have had 2 out of 3 games piss down rain. Our average should be much higher

no way souths had 10,000 lolll they did turn up but nearly half the ground, no way. There were probably about 5-7k of Rabbits fans but still a good turnout. Also those red shirts across the stadium wont souths fans, they were shirts that read "Strathfield supports the Bulldogs" which were handed out to hundreds of fans lolll

Really good crowd considering the weather and considering a lot of people are returning to work tomorrow.

Shame Sydney hasn't got a stadium like Etihad in Melbourne where a roof can be closed when it rains. 35,000 > crowd.
