Ha ha, serves them right. This was the game Perth was bidding for. We'd have got 20,000+ for it. Love to know what was more exciting in FNQ tonight than a World cup game of RL featuring two entertaining teams.
what makes you think that Perth would so easily get 20k plus, not having a go at you, just curious as to why you think it would be so easy to get 20k in Perth???

that number looks very generous... I have never seen Dairy Farmers that empty, would be interesting to know NQ lowest ever crowd there..

Where the fook were all the Cowpats fans? Yeah reall rugby league supporters aren't they! Same in Canberra, all BANDWAGONERS who only support their club and not the GAME! :x

Well the SFS looked great on TV. I know the figure was about 9,000 off capacity but I'm not too concerned. The message portrayed was good, though sadly the rest of the world associates Mexcian waves with boredom.

I now associate NZ matches with boredom. At the risk of being branded a troll, both tonight and the Centenery Test were two of the most boring matches I've ever paid to watch.

On the crowd, I was there and could not for the life of me see where there were 9000 free seats.

Kalgoorlie red, the only way there are 500k poms in Perth is if you include ancestry going back 15 generations!

WELL DONE SYDNEY!! :D

Crowd looked awesome on tv, and sounded just as good. Really hope it continues with big crowds for the matches at Parra and Penrith.

Bloody awesome to see the SFS close enough to full last night!

WOW a QLder congratulating sydney on a crowd!

lol

It was a good crowd and i couldnt see that many gaps. At the back of the members stand there were a few, and in the corners.

there were spots ni rows were there was one seat in between groups of people. Harldy expect to sells those kinda seats for anything but a must see game.

Well done Sydney, great crowd and great atmosphere.

re Perth, England v Georgia got 30,000 so I would expect it would have pulled around 20,000 with some decent marketing. We got 12,000 to a pre season NRL friendly so we should have been able to get more with all the Poms that live here. All ifs and buts and long past caring tbh.

I don't think the crowds have been too bad. Townsville I looked at the prices and almost fainted. $45 to sit in category B. 1/2 of that is acceptable.

Samoa v Tonga I got the 2nd best seats (IMO the best) on the 1/2 way line for $25. Fiji v France tix are as low as $8 for a child. If that was the case for all Pool games. Every game would be a sellout. PS Samoa v Tonga 12K tix pre sold
