i've just purchased two blarney army tickets 2minutes ago in Bay 67, the PAX number is 5898 & 5899...

if PAX numbers are an indicator of pre-purchased tickets, let's just hope there is a big walkup tonight from parramatta's inner city workers

im going with a few mates and we werent bothered pre purchasing. Id assume most of the crowd will be made up from walk ups.

Its not like its danger of a sell ou

I think the crowd at Parra has gotten bigger as the game has gone on.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if they post it at 7-8k.

So going by MH PAx number 5898 & 5899 at 2pm and the official crowd of 6165, the pax number lives on. Spot on again.

No. I've just been explaining that the "official" count is often exaggerated. But go ahead and believe what you want. Ignorance is bliss as they say.

Well you don't see 30,000 PAX for a game that gets 5,000.

No one claims that PAX is completely accurate but it gives a reasonably good indication of how sales are going.

Well so far from the 4 games we have:

34k
10k
9k
6k

Yeh they are not flash but realistically we cant expect many more, i just hope the games get more exposure after this wkend and the crowds pick up a bit

Currently 15k average, i'm pretty sure we can maintain if not improve that throughout the cup.

Next week I think we'll get:

Aus v England - 50,000
NZ v PNG - 15,000
Tonga v Samoa - 18,000
France v Fiji - 10,000

OK. Let's just hold on a moment - I don't want to be forum Cop but...

These claims of "exaggeration" of crowd numbers should not to be made lightly. They are essentially accusations of dishonesty against the RLIF and/or the RLWC organisers and are therefore potentially defamatory. Especially considering you have claimed the exaggeration is used to fulfill sponsorship or bolster commercial agreements.

You are an anonymous poster on an internet forum. You could be anyone - for all I know you're making up these claims of "inside knowledge". And, even if you are privy to commercial-in-confidence information do you think your employer appreciates it's employees publishing this information concerning it's clients on Internet forums?

I'd just be being a bit more circumspect with the claims and LU should be more careful about allowing them to be published...

Ok well the crowd was spot on tonight. i was there and the ground was around a third full. we had a PAX of around 6000 and we got a crowd of around 6000.

A decent example of the numbers game working out.

Storm chaser no one has said that they are bang on but how can they match up so well is if they arent at least some sort of numerical counter

My predictions:

NZ v PNG - 9,000
Tonga v Samoa - 12,000
France v Fiji - 7,000
