My predictions:
Aus v England - 40,000
NZ v PNG - 12,000
Tonga v Samoa - 11,000
France v Fiji - 7,000

No. I've just been explaining that the "official" count is often exaggerated. But go ahead and believe what you want. Ignorance is bliss as they say.

You've also been saying the SFS crowd was exaggerated, which going by what I saw on TV was clearly untrue.

Watch yourself, you can't just go around making stuff up. It seems to me your only purpose on this forum is to discredit the pax and now say the crowd figures are false.

Why are you here?

*sigh* I am here to for sh*ts and giggles the same reason most people log on. However, it was doing my head in to keep reading about what you thought PAX was all the time. Due to my JOB I know what PAX is. If the crowds are good the crowds are good, and they have been GOOD, but not the great success everyone likes to think it's been. The reason I harp on THAT is because I would LOVE for the NRL and the RILF to treat the fans with more respect, put more money into marketing and promotions and make this game the success it should be. THEY are the ones holding it back I'm just sick of the bullsh*tting they do in regards to crowd figures. They wouldn't have to inflate figures if they did the right thing by the game.

I'm not making stuff up, and I do want this game to thrive and dominate, but believe whatever you want to. I'm not mentioning crowds again.

Currently 15k average, i'm pretty sure we can maintain if not improve that throughout the cup.

Next week I think we'll get:

Aus v England - 50,000
NZ v PNG - 15,000
Tonga v Samoa - 18,000
France v Fiji - 10,000

woah.... 50k? extremely unlikely

my predictions:

Aus v England - 34k
NZ v PNG - 12k
Tonga v Samoa - 15k
France v Fiji - 10k

Yak said Aus v England was up to 32,000 on the 21st (a week ago) in the ticket sales thread.

I think 50K is optimistic but certainly achievable.

More tickets have been moved for France v Fiji @ WIN than this Friday's game at CUA... Unfortunately whilst everyone is talking up Samoa v Tonga, it seems no one is pre-purchasing.

Here's hoping for a beautiful Friday night and a big turn out.

(Both are around the 5K mark - thats sold, not including comps)

You have to think a lot of people would be a bit worried about attending the Samoa/tonga game.

Forecast is for 30 and the chance of a storm.

I had a look on ticketek earlier and you could still get great seats on halfway. It will be a great shame if this game isn't played in front of a big crowd.

There will be a HUGE walk up crowd for Friday's match. They probably can't be bothered travelling from Mt Druitt to Penrith to by tickets.
