I am talking Rugby league prices, way to expensive.
As well as that, NO PROMOTION AT ALL.
I am talking NOTHING.
I am a league die hard so I went.
Mr ONeill said ticket prices are very affordable and everyone has the opportunity to experience the passion and power that Rugby World Cup 2003 generates either in their home city or interstate.
Individual ticket prices to some matches are as low as $5 and $10 while generous family packages (two adults and two children) can be bought for $20.
You're taking the mick, fair enough, but on telly, with a bit of creative directing, the crowd looked decent.look the crowd wasnt as brilliant as we could have liked but there was definately a passionate support for both sides and the game was a brilliant one for everyone watching across the world.
Just remember the important audiences in albania, lithuania, somalia, nigeria and upper mongolia who all saw this live....
that number looks very generous... I have never seen Dairy Farmers that empty, would be interesting to know NQ lowest ever crowd there..
what happened to the supposed 10k travelling poms????
A lot aren't arriving until the Aussie game.
No promotion isn't just about making the public aware something is on. It is about creating an image about the event so that people want to attend. This is something that I think is overrated.
If you read your local paper you knew the game was on and they still didn't turn up. Its not like it was completely hidden.
having it in townsville attracted a good crowd of PNGs, apparently the flights from png to townsille were all bookedHa ha, serves them right. This was the game Perth was bidding for. We'd have got 20,000+ for it. Love to know what was more exciting in FNQ tonight than a World cup game of RL featuring two entertaining teams.
