So how many clubs recorded a loss last financial year? 13?
Gee I wonder how they are all losing money?

how dumb are these clubs,

Falling over themselves to compete against each other, driving a players price up, with dodgy dealings through slimy managers,

like a bloke on $650 k , really needs another $20k in cash,

I can't understand why Parra just don't come 100% clean, accept the penalties and details exactly what they did so it doesn't come out in the media drip by drip over the next few weeks. Put it all out in the open and they will get hammered in the media for a day or two but it will then all stop because it isn't news anymore. Just get it all over and done with instead of waking up each day knowing there will be more and more articles being written

It's a good question. Why not just accept the NRL?s findings? My guess is that they're challenging the NRL?s findings as not being completely true. I can only fathom that the cheating is not as bad as being made out. That's the only logical reason as there's no way they're going to be able to keep their jobs. None.

To me it just seems like they are incredibly arrogant and desperate. They still seem to think they can control and manipulate the situation to suit them. Either that or they think "everyone is doing it" is a legit excuse.

Why this all has to be done via leaks to the media is beyond me.

Idiotic if it came from the Eels and a huge concern if it came from the NRL.

Where the f**k else would it come from? you're so delusional it's beginning to make me wonder if you're mentally ill or not, sure.. the NRL leaked transcripts involving Parramatta, you actually believe this is some sort of a conspiracy against Parramatta, you need help

I think it's because Parramatta are symbolic of the people they represent - total trash, therefore it makes perfect sense to rort the system and act as a victim. it's the western sydney way.

They're all still in shock.

Cheated, RECORDED IT ALL.. and won wooden spoons.

For f**ks sake, if someone wrote a film treatment about this it would make a great National Lampoon's sports film.

I think it has to do with the punishment being not that severe compared to the Storms and so fighting it can't make the punishment worse and they may through a legal loophole find that the NRL can't do what they want to the Eels.

They really need an "Andrew Gee" to say I f**ked it all up so sorry Bye!

If any one subscribes to the tele they can read the extracts to the lying eels board members and Jarryd Hayne.
Hayne received $15k in 2013, $225k in 2014, $225k in 2015 outside of the cap, there is a list of other players as well but Hayne is denying it, yet there is proof.

then one is an even bigger moron than the Parra board members who recorded themselves breaking the rules

I know what your saying, but I read it in the paper at work, tried to link but couldn't, it is very damning for parra and Hayne.

Yea I was hoping their earlier info was all BS but someone has definitely been leaking quality info to News at this point. Just the thought of league fans paying for their garbage gives me chills

Like when the Melbourne Storm were caught cheating the salary cap in 2010, it is essentially a second set of books the Eels were running.

No one outside of the club’s powerbrokers was supposed to know of its existence

This tells me all I need to know.

Parramatta and their fans cry foul at losing to a team way over the cap (which is fair enough) and then they go and do the exact same thing.

f**k Parramatta. Zero sympathy from me. Not that they were going to get it from me anyway!

Greenberg should go one step further and bar them from competing for points at all in step with what happened at Storm. The 12 points was the preliminary penalty, right? Does that mean the punishment has the potential to be harsher as well as potential to be softer?

You can talk to me until you are blue in the face about Melbourne being X amount over a $Y cap and Parra being a certain amount over the revised cap (because it went up over time by the NRL)... cheating is still cheating. The Parra Five went out of their way to lie, hide and outright deceive the NRL then had the f**king audacity to cry foul when they got hit with a punishment that was pretty limp dicked to begin with.

Surley this is cause to make the penalty more severe. Boutros, Anderson, Seward (who was apparently seen as successor to Mark Evans at Melbourne! Looks like we dodged a bullet there!) Et all should be added to the list with Brian Waldron and Matt Hanson and never be allowed within a stray pube of the game of rugby league ever again!

Try breathing when you type. So you are clear it came from either the eels or the nrl and you've invented a conspiracy theory in your head to argue against.

And isn't it lovely of the DT to withhold the names of the players? They showed no quarter to the Storm players when they got done.

f**k the Telecrap!
