The fact he is even in selection talks for the all stars game is a joke, there are literally dozens of more deserving players than he.

Tahu has been handed every rep honour this sport has on a silver platter all because of who he played with, so he has no right to whinge about what is fair and whats not when it comes to selections

If a guy is say 7/8 Caucasian, how does that make him an aboriginal ?

I'm 1/4 Maori because my one of my four grand parents (grandfather on my mother's side) is full blooded Maori.

The rest of my grand parents are Scottish.

Do I indentify as Maori? yes. Do I identify as Scottish? yes.


Daley looks to be 1/4 aboriginal and a bit of mederteranian in there too... he would identify with his other heritage as well i'm sure.

In terms of proving it... you have to provide evidence to the government by having showing your family history etc for benefits etc.

It is how you identify. If you identify as an aboriginal, you are aboriginal. It does not work in 8ths 5ths 16ths etc.. If you are, you are. If I met you and you told me who you are.. who am i to question it?

Often people like to define themselves against the majority.

There's no kudos to be gained by being just another white footballer. Or anything else in society. This is not necessarily an act of rebellion, though it is in a lot of cases. More generally - by claiming membership of a niche group, you have established a separate and distinct identity for yourself.

Even if the facts of your lineage speak in the opposite direction.
