Kicked off, DWZ chat about Warriors try scoring record and perm staying as wife likes it.
Just had AFB in a funky expensive shirt get the VB hard and award.

SJ crediting being home, a coach setting good standards and being able to go home and sulk or celebrate.

Going to be further along the track under Webbys plan first day of preseason and adding handy players in RTS and CTH.

Hey, I know the Dally M's a nice accolade but ideally it should go with a premiership.

Would of helped his cause I guess.
But weird one round he got nothing and AFB got 6. Caught him on camera saying WTF?
The 6 point system with two judges made it a lot more unpredictable this year I think. Made for some big swings on the leaderboard.

but really it was AFB who got Ponga the win, we had two players polling big numbers, the knights had one.

These awards generally come down to being a player that is a bit of a 1 man band, every time Newcastle win, Ponga is pretty much the sole reason. Shaun in a win was competing with AFB for points

Haas not being anywhere near it shows we should just rename them the spine awards

not sure what the record has been since, but in 2008 Orford broke a long running curse where the Dally M winner didn’t win the premiership

If Penrith win this weekend, Ivan Cleary will have won 3 comps in a row and not been coach of the year for any of them

0/6 in the Tigers win and 1/6 in the Manly win. Not saying SJ was a massive stand-out in either game but I found that a bit surprising, especially the Manly game where our right side attack carved up and he kicked the match-sealing field goal.
