Daniel Anderson

I think Anderson's Background and his knowledge of the Junior Development Systems at Parramatta (He coached his way up the Junior Development Ranks) shades him from any other choice. Not saying Lang is not a good choice. I saw John Lang out in his "Role" with the Bunnies at North Sydney on Saturday.

I have heard also that his brother works in the club .. and i do hope and pray that they get him into the club ASAP ... Hagan has had the time and he has had a stable playing roster to take them to the next level.

we have stagnated to a point where we have not improved and our players are furstrated.

he is a chance of winning 3 club challenges in a row, he knows the club and fully understands what we are capable of and i think he can get us playing that 2001 style of footy again, and with what we have in talent then he is the number 1 priority ...

but in saying all of this, the master of all ceo 22 years and i havent won a premiership will extend hagans contract because he has no idea ....

Indeed, one other stat.

St Helens have not lost a game since the Start of April.

They are currently on a 15 game winning streak.

To further add stats to the fire.

St Helens have one the League Leaders Trophy (equivalent to the Minor Premiership and J.J.Giltinan Shield) for the last 3 years (2005, 2006 and 2007). Those are the 3 years that Daniel has been coach.

If we're gonna honour Hagan's contract, might not be too bad of an idea to get Anderson into the Club in some capacity next year anyways.

Re-familiarise him with the NRL in general and our Club specifically. Better than just throwing him in at the end of next season.

I think St Helens are a team much like us as well, with a lot of natural talent and flair in some of their players. They're a great side to watch and Daniel has them attacking like demons and scoring points from all quarters....he'd be great for us.

Anyway, yes Daniel is a local boy and passionate about the Eels. he also has a proven track record as one of the world's premier coaches.

He not only garners respect from his players, he is also among the most knowledgable in the technical side of the game.

And yes, his brother Jared has worked for the club for years and is a lovely guy - even with that dodgy beard!

what are the chances of andersen being parra head coach in 09. realistically?

Very slim. Realistically, we don't sack coaches...so unless Hages falls on his own sword or the miraculous happens, he'll be here next year

yeah...100% correct mate, it won't be happening next year but if I was a betting man I'd say he'd be on board in 2010. and not that I'm privy to any info but I would imagine that it'd be announced prior to the 2009 kick off.

So we are back to where we we're in 2005 :? what a waste of 4 years.

i hope we get him, his record speaks for itself, but is he the sort of coach that wants to be conservative andd restrict the teams natural flair or will he allow them to play freely?

If Anderson was placed into a Coaching Director kind of role, maybe Hagan might get the message and fall on his sword...

St Helens play pretty freely. There's some structure to it, and a structured use of the interchange in the forwards, but it's a style that means every player gets to contribuet no matter what part of the field or numbered jersey they wear.

It's not one dimensional one out safety/boring stuff, and the players look like they are enjoying themselves.
