Idiots and cry babies,

Why do you want Anderson? He's just another Smith Clone. Whoopeeee, he is successful in England but has never won a premiership in Australia. Get your hands off it. He will fail like his mentor Smith. Think outside the square you clowns. There are better coaches to go for ie Lang.

Lang has nothing on Anderson in regards to technical knowledge - and although Anderson was mentored by Smith he is hardly a clone.

Just knowing the two of them is enough for that to be clear.

He did a superb job at the Warriors where countless others had failed and then went to England where his record is simply phenomenal.

Plus he is passionate about the Eels, which I believe is important.

Lucky you're a DLR fan Stiffy or I'd have to crucify you.

I know you will all critisize me but do I give a f**k? I'm smarter than all you never beens & wannabees combined (Except Ron) I'm better qualified, better looking and more than you will ever be. I work for myself and not for bosses like you slaves do.I'm my own man. Perhaps I should run the club. Parra needs a businessman not a public servant. I am successful and a jerk who cares. I don't put my hands out each week or month whatever to get my small wage for set hours worked or slaved. I run my own business and I command my destination so listen to me soft c***s, don't blame Hagan, blame the system and players. The players don't give a s**t simple fact. League is gone. Players want the cash at the end of the day. They break their bones each week while so** C**k fans sit and enjoy (like the Roman Gladiators fans in ancient times). When players get old they will have a painful retirement but if they have money at least it will soften the pain slightly. Good on SBW, go for it because when you're old no one will care. People say they get paid well doing what they love. Bullsh**. To them its a job and a painful one. Get off your high horses and face realities. Enough said. I need to make money so argue amongst yourselves.

When things go tough you blame the coach. there are other factors involved. Was Smith successful? Depends how you measure success. To me its by winning a premiership. So Smith failed as did Cronin etc. Look at all the variables. Its not just Hagan. Grow a brain people

Hagan keen to stay

PARRAMATTA Eels coach Michael Hagan wants to continue in the job beyond 2009.
With his team languishing in 13th place, the upshot has been speculation in the media about Hagan's future, which also has been a hot topic for fans.
When he was given a three-year deal from 2007, Eels chief executive Denis Fitzgerald said Hagan insisted on a clause in his contract that he be told before his third year if a further term would be offered.
In confirming that yesterday, Hagan agreed with the Advertiser that it would probably happen at the end of the season.
"I wasn't expecting it to happen before then," Hagan said.
"It may even be into part of next year.
"But I'm not really thinking about that too much at the moment."
Asked if he would like to continue, he said: "Yeah, of course. Of course I would."
After last year's feat of bowing out to eventual premiers Melbourne in the grand final qualifier, "Hages" has endured a difficult second season.
"At this point we're still in the hunt and we've still got enough good players and enough games left to do something," Hagan said.
"We're not talking about the year having finished yet by any means. We'll review at the end of the year when that time comes."
He is positive about the club's future.
Pointing to young players who had come through to the NRL side such as brothers Matt and Kris Keating, Taulima Tautai, Joel Reddy, Brendan Oake and Weller Hauraki, he said: "I think there's a lot to look forward to.
"We're in pretty good shape for next year as far as our roster is concerned. Given the amount of clubs that are losing players to English Super League and/or French rugby union, I think we're in a pretty good position in that regard."
The Eels snapped a three-match losing streak in beating bottom-of-the-table North Queensland 16-4 at Parramatta Stadium last Friday.
This week they don't play until Monday, away to Newcastle, who are level on points with the Eels.

Stiff, if you are so smart, why do you have to go to the lowest common denominator in the english language and swear so much?

nah we blame the coach when we lose and hear his views on how the game has changed. when you look at a roster like the one we have, and you see those players play the way they can and then see the current coach inhibit that style of play, you can only blame the coach.

finch's reiteration of hagan's view about how the game has become boring and we need to play the way we are did it for me. six or seven of the top 8 teams play a style where they will take risks, make offloads and move the ball around. those teams all have high completion rates and are winning more games than us. some of those sides don't have as much talent as us either. thing is that the coach can't see he is wrong but the rest of the population that watches nrl can. it's things like that that make us blame the coach.

hagan has stuck to his self proclaimed boring offence and it clearly isn't working. our side has gradually leaked more points under hagan. we went from being one of the best defensive units over the 10 years before hagan to being a joke. i wouldn't be so opposed to the boring offensive strategy if our side was actually coached to tackle.

Awesome Post! Stiff is definately one of the smarter posters on this board, well that goes without saying...

Stiff all we need is someone with commonsense too run this club, as well as a genuine winner, Fitzy is happy just happy with stability, we need someone that says 'f**k all that, we need too win at all costs!', the worst part about this attitude that fitzy displays has rubbed of on the supporters, can you believe that people actually think Fitzy and Hagan are doing a good job, ffs.
