It was just a snippet I think, and was probably lifted from the rumours in here .

Andreson is finishing up at St Helens this season, they have signed Mick Potter from Catalans for 2009 onwards, and Anderson is coming home.

I think consensus is that Hagan is under contract for next season, with no option or any trickery in the contract.

For Anderson to come to Parra he either has to wait out a season, be appointed to some other role like Football Manager for a year while Hagan fulfils his contract (which means the club paying double the 2009 coaching budget until/unless Hagan quits in that scenario), or the club sacks Hagan early, which would be quite unlike the club (and would mean a payout, effectively paying double the coaching budget for season 2009).

I've got an open mind... I think the year off scenario is quite feasible, DA has been away for quite a while, and it takes a while to adjust to changing hemispheres after living and working somewhere else, and he might be pretty cashed up if he saved his pounds wisely. We should sign him for 2010 imo, see what he can do for his old club now he's got some good experience under his belt. Tell Hagan at the end of this season that he won't get an extension, and see if he blows a gasket like B Smith!!

I did, but it came from the telegraph, so you can take that rumour with a grain of salt. I say its just guessing by whomever wrote it. (parra not going too well, Anderson coming back home)

Is it his successful Warriors career that makes you want him coaching us? :sarcasm:

He took them, in two years, from 14th to 1st and a grand final appearance. So, yes. What happened at the end of his tenure was much more about club management than Anderson.

For me personally, he is a Parramatta Man. Got the Warriors to a GF in two seasons. Since he joined Saints in the UK he has won

2006 Challenge Cup
2006 Premiership
2007 World Club Challenge,
2007 Challenge Cup
Made the 2007 Grand Final where they lost to leads.

He is currently coaching at over 80% at the Saints. Now no matter how good a Club St Helens are, 80% win ratio in league in a season is almost unheard of, Parramatta's 2001 Season was a Win Ratio of 77%.

His team has also just made the 2008 Challenge Cup Final.

I agree, and when you add that to his record at the Warriors and in England:

2006 Premiership
2007 World Club Challenge,
2007 Challenge Cup

There is no other choice, really.

well then, can he bring their players with him?

Surely that has to be a hard task to keep a professional football side winning games when they have won that many in a row. It would have to be tough getting them ready for each game. Making sure their heads weren't in the clouds. Keeping them nice and grounded.

Is Daniel Anderson is the person to be in Parra? I am not sure about that. Why not John Lang? I think he is able coach. He turned around Penrith as well as did good job in Sharks. So why not John Lang ?
