wow, there is some major back pedalling in this thread.....I hope Boyd gets his head right.......... and then comes back and makes you all eat huge slabs of humble pie
Leaguelegend20 - Officially the forum f**k wit.
Ignore and/or chastise at will.
Nothing it says will ever be taken seriously again on this forum.
In light of Boyd's diagnosis, I have formulated a squad for a potential "Mental Illness Awareness XVII". Just as some NRL stars endorsed a suicide awareness fun run the other week, perhaps a charity game full of recovered crazies would help boost knowledge and awareness of such issues amongst youth and adults alike. It is through events like these, where we celebrate recovery, that we truly give a message to youth that it is possible to come back from major setbacks like depression. People idolise these blokes, and by showing that they can bounce back, it shows us normal blokes can too. Therefore;
1. Darius Boyd
2. Scott Minto
3. Mark Gasnier
4. Paul Whaituira
5. Ben Barba
6. Preston Campbell
7. Chris Sandow
8. Willie Mason
9. Andrew Johns
10. Shane Shackleton
11. Reni Maitua
12. Cory Patterson
13. Jamal Idris
Mate, your a c**k sucker.:lol::lol:
The forum vigilante has spoken. Get f**ked you idiot.
I have done nothing to require moderator attention. Not my fault some people are unable to have a calm debate and lose their heads at their own inability to interpret sensible suggestions.
You're a f**kwhit. How is what I said in any way not a valid suggestion? Name a better way of lifting the stigma of mental illness you offensive dribbler.
If you none of you missed the entire point of what I was trying to f**king say... Create a charity match celebrating RECOVERY from mental illness, thus giving hope to the rest of the NRL and society that there is life after having a mental illness.
You're a joke. I proposed a suggestion in correlation with the NRL's "State of Mind" campaign, and you vehemently shut it down in an act of pure ignorance. Such a game would raise great awareness and funds for mental illness. Such a game would be a great spectacle, and would indicate Rugby League as an active community against suffering mental illness in the dark. Think before you shut down ideas. Prick.
Riiiight. You're a wanker, Bretto.
Alright then. How about you propose a tangible solution to the emergence of mental illness amongst NRL players then f**kwhit?
Where is there any evidence that suggests that to even be in remotely true you f**king moron

what for ? Not like he needs an excuse for a release.
I haven't read this whole thing but
Bennett needs to take some blame here.
He has let this bloke follow his every move his entire adult life.
It is f**king sick.
To be fair a few other players have followed a coach around their careers without any issues, including some with Bennett
Such as?
Fittler and Gould made a good team. A couple others from the dragons have followed Bennett to the Knights without any negative impact.

Fittler did not play his entire career under Gould.
Which Knights players have followed Bennett from the Dragons? Please don't say Scott and Smith.
Change of clubs ?Its not close purely because Boyd is a nut. Plenty of players have played for the same coach for 8 years without regressing into mental illness.
