Dear Stagger and MITS

MITS I am a traditionalist. The logo should be the one in my avatar. That is when we were great. The home jersey should also be the 81 yellow or 82/83 blue one for all home games. That is what I like the current one, because it is most like those jerseys. Away jerseys can however be changed every 3 years.

I admire Saints for having the Red V. Some stuff just should not change.

Well it did change, the 1986 Jersey won us a Premiership and the 2001 Jerseys got us to a grand final. However I get the feeling we might stay locked into these ones for a while yet.

I like the current one. Fine by me. Especially the all blue.

However when we played Saints in the 80's retro at Kogarah on 05 it was just outstanding and gave me goosebumps.

How did he change it back ? The current one is not the one in my avatar.

If it was up to him he would get rid of the Eel logo completely. He has been quoted on this many times.

If it was feasible, why not ?

The Central Coast would however be my first priority.

Would Rather a Team in Perth. Large Rugby Population even if it is union, Has been played over their at junior levels and having as Side play for more than 2 months there playing more home games would help the code in my opinion.

You could be right there. Like I said, whatever is feasible, but Central Coast should be a priority.

Yet you carry the new logo in you Signature.

He changed it to something more traditional. I would say it a more modern version of the old logo, instead of the cartoonish logo we had. Which depending on where you took it's eye was either aggressive or Comical.

Interesting debate here.
I would like to put in my two cents worth.
In my opinion the NRL and Rugby League as a game are two different beasts and should be treated differently. They have different rules (now I mean some not all) and different appeals.Rugby League as it was and is still played at a local level has a charm and appeal which is very much rooted in it's tribal/local identity.

NRL has no such allegiances with players/coaches swapping regularly(often midstream now it seems). It does have appeal though,as a fast load, colourful spectaular. That doesn't need the Eels,or the Dragons or the Broncos. It just needs world class venues, great television coverage and efficient ticketing systems.
Thats just my opinion.

Yes it does, without it there are no ratings or crowds.

I am no graphic designer.

As for Clutching at Straws the whole Logo line was an attack on fitzy and that seems to have been effectively rebuffed.
