The only communication we seem to get from the board at the moment is through the Telecrap, so we have to fit in with their publishing schedule. It will be relegated to a small byline when it's a slow news day. In the mean time they will be looking for their next attack on DF.

If you think that your mate Denis and his board mates did not know about the Tingha vouchers then you maye be suffering from a condition.

We're 9 million bucks in the red, our cap for next year is already full even with the imposters we have running around, and in the midst of all that the board saw fit to give a CEO bereft of ideas on how to move forward (much like yourself, pete) a raise that we obviously couldn't afford....not to mention his alleged involvement in attempting buy the election. So yes, we should lay the boot in, because it's obvious that Fitzgerald has f**ked this club

Some serious allegations in that post Bazal. Make sure you are not liable to a defamation action...or you have facts to back them up.....

Pleading ignorance doesn't change the facts...I thought you'd have learned that long ago. You want the backing sources? Read the damn forum, they're all there.

my theory is that if the investigations were proven to show some wrong doing on the part of the former board and current CEO, we would of known about it by now..

but that's just a Stagger theory..lol

Yeah Stagger, I tend to agree, but I wonder what will be in the paper tomorrow.

I guess as I said we will see, but as I wrote a week or so ago, this is a huge test of credibility, for DF, for the remaining members of the old board, for the new board members and their "sources" and maybe crucially for the Articles mentioned in the TerrorGraph that Bazal has referenced above, which for several days painted a picture to the general populace a picture of a corrupt leader desperate to secure his future and had a great deal of influence in the election as I understand it from some of the neutral observers.

I dont think so. They only people that can be damaged are Fitzy, Hilditch and Gerard.

New board cant be hit - they can say they did the right thing and had a investigation to see what happened. I dont think any new board member publicly pointed any fingers?

Not a test for the tele either. 'vouchergate' is pretty much just a footnote in history already.....unless people get the chop over it.

I think the new board can be hit. Sure they did the right thing, but the overwhelming emotion from those that supported them was to remove Fitzy and if he still remains after their first public attempt it will in the eyes of some seem like business as usual, which will frustrate and anger a great number of those that voted. I also think it is a test for the Tele, to see how if their report was missing all the relevant facts.

I think more people would be frustrated and angered Mark if they sacked him and paid him out for a year.

Colonel, is this hearsay, or is there a link posted somewhere, especially the bit about "his involvement in attempting to buy the election" Sounds like a defamatory statement to me as it is posted as A MATTER OF FACT. If it is a FACT, please post a source...
If there is no basis to the claim, I hope Denis Fitzgerald looks at court action to clear his name. It has been run through the mud in the Press, and on this forum for what? A team struggling to win games!!! I ain't no lawyer, but I reckon he has some grounds to defend his reputation..
I have seen posts deleted for 'hearsay'....Does it only apply in some cases --and not in others...A ruling is required please...
