But how?

Need to extend thr ET to the north west corner all the way to the hill. It shouldn’t be that expensive in comparison to a full build. I know they want to exten south west corner too but not sure that’s for seating or sponsors etc.

One thing is certain we need to get used to construction again it seems.

I think they could have just extended the lower tier of those stands to where the grass used to be. Wouldnt be undercover but we can make up for that elsewhere. Could have been built as part of the club development. Wouldn't cost much to just do that stand. It's pretty basic.

There is some talk coming from the Sharkies that we will be getting some funding in the NRL stadiums thing to extend some of the stands. However I did hear it would mean we would have to move again for 2 years. Can't have it all I guess.

Ideally you build one on the family hill and name it the Paul Gallen stand. How long did the Southern stand take to build? Easier access though I guess. They just block that section off in 06 opened it in 07? I can't remember... Killed too many brain cells.

Good to hear that K but 2 more years away won’t sit well with the fan base. Really should have aligned with development but yeah I get it.

Don’t reckon the hill ever disappears so I’d be interested to see what the proposal is.

The hill was a mud pit. The section next to the “chairman’s tents” was like Woodstock. Without the sex and drugs.
Kids were having a ball playing tackle footy in the mud.

I’m in the minority I don’t want the club using its own money to expand the stadium. Maintaining it and running at a lose is already enough. Wait for government funding for upgrades.
Use the clubs money on other things that are a better financial benefit long term.

400+ of them? Was a LOT of empty seats for a sell out.

Better story for the place if its a sell out after 2 years not at home.

Dunno, if it was people who had paid and not attended, that's a lot of people not attending after 2 years away, weather fine, time slot fine.

A bit suspicious if you ask me. If not suspicious well then we have a piss poor membership base.
All grandstands are sold out to Season Seat holders. Whether they show or not the club has sold the seats.

I dont know if this is possible or not , but could season ticket holders be given stipulation that they confirm their attendance 24 hours in advance or seat can be sold ?

I’m pretty sure that’s already an option but not sure if many do it.

That's just it .. not every season ticket holder is necessarily committing to attend every game. I've always seen it as a contribution to the to the club and if I choose to only go to 7 or 8 games so be it. Do they still have the seat buy-back thing happening?

You can resell your seat on a secondary market through Ticketek but yeah I doubt many do. I’ve had a seat for 6 seasons now and I often can’t make it and just let it go to waste

Can’t just make money appear from nowhere.

Of course the fans will complain. They’re soft whingey merkins. How dare they renovate the stadium.

This time around I think they take more games on the road and play out of the new SFS.

I think they could do it over less than 2 years. Not like it will be a full stadium redevelopment.

Why should they have to? It’s there seats and they can decide when the want if they are going or not
Well Of course . But arent they also SHARKS FANS. If they are not in position to use those seats wouldnt it be a great thing (at no cost to themselves ) to allow them to be onsold for benefit of the club ? No problem if its last minute pull out , but jeez surely a hard core fan would like to see a full house and the club getting corresponding money.?...as well as a fellow sharks fan getting chance to see the game ?
