I agree, but I like Benoit. I just don't like others apart from submission specialists performing these moves!

Trish has more charisma and is better on the mic as well.

Oh yes, how stupid of me to actually compare wrestlers on their wrestling ability, rather an on their charisma and mic ability.

It is the whole package. That is what makes great wrestlers. Trish is fantastic at all 3. Mickie is on par in terms of wrestling ability but nowhere near Trish in the other two fields.

Congratulations to Trish Stratus who got married yesterday.

-- Several current and former WWE Divas were in attendance at the wedding, including Victoria, Ivory, Ashley Massaro, Torrie Wilson, Lillian Garcia, Lita and Maria.

-- The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that if Trish should return to WWE any time in the future, she would likely do so under a deal similar to what Hulk Hogan or Mick Foley have. This would allow her to come in for big events or angles without having to commit to anything too long.

Ashley pays tribute to late Stamford police officer
By Ashley Massaro
September 29, 2006

On the evening of Sept. 27, I was privileged to take part in a very special charity event in Stamford, Conn., at the Thirsty Turtle.

On Sept. 14, Sgt. Michael Lynch of the Stamford Police Department lost his battle with terminal cancer. In honor of their fallen friend and peer, the Stamford Policeman's Association held a very emotional and special fund-raiser for the Lynch Family.

I took part in this momentous occasion by presenting a $5,000 check on behalf of WWE to the family of the late Sgt. Lynch. The family was very grateful for the generosity of WWE. There are no words to describe the gratifying looks the family had on their faces. Personally, I felt very dignified to be the one who was on hand to present this gift from WWE.

It was definitely a bittersweet event, filled with sorrow for the loss of Sgt. Lynch. By the overwhelming turnout, I could tell Sgt. Lynch was a man who was loved by all.

The moment that touched me most was listening to the very emotional, heartfelt speech given by the Lynch family. They were very humble and appreciative for the love and camaraderie on display this evening.

WWE is a strong supporter of the Stamford Policeman’s Association and donates quite often. Being on hand for this event and being able to see exactly where the money was being sent made me proud to be part of WWE. I think this is one of the best parts of my job, being able to give back and represent WWE.

All in all, a great night filled with a lot of love and fun. There was a cool U2 tribute band on hand called the Unforgettable Fire. They got everybody, including me, moving. Thanks for checking

Beth Phoenix, recently won the OVW Women's Championship from Serena. Phoenix has long since recovered from her fractured mandible injury which required a titanium plate be placed into her jaw. She's actually been healthy for over two months now as she's been regularly appearing on OVW shows

Both Moolah and Mae Young were originally intended to have much larger roles on the 10/9 RAW. In fact, Moolah was supposed to wrestle Melina on the show in the women's tournament (Torrie ended up wrestling Melina instead). The scripted idea was for Moolah to wrestle (and lose), have a woman interfere, and Mae would give that woman a bronco buster. The match would have been short, but Moolah still has an old-school mentality where she wouldn't be happy losing a short TV match. Anyways, both women had recent falls and the match was nixed. Mae recently fell on her hip while in the bathroom when she went to weigh herself on a scale. Her hip wasn't broken, but she was very sore. Mae used a walker backstage but is expected to get rid of it soon. As for Moolah, she fell two weeks ago when she was in New Jersey for an autograph signing. She was hurt, but did not break her hip either.

Lita's WWE future is currently unclear. The Wrestling Observer reported back in the summer that her WWE contract was set to expire in either September or November and that she wasn't planning on renewing it because she wanted to do some other things in her life (namely focusing on her rock band "The Luchagors" and trying to become an actress). Considering that September has since passed and she's still appearing at WWE events, it looks like her contract will be expiring in November - if the original report is indeed true. On the otherhand, its been reported that some fans haved asked her about the rumors at recent autograph signings and she tells them that she plans on staying in WWE. If she's still in WWE come December, it looks like she'll be sticking around after all.

The reports & rumors on Lita leaving World Wrestling Entertainment are indeed true as she plans on ending her seven-year relationship with the company by the end of November. She doesn't plan on renewing her contract, which is set to expire by the end of next month. Lita will be finishing things up by Survivor Series, give or take a week in either direction.

Lita is leaving to pursue a career in local acting in Atlanta. She has a few plays and potential independent film roles & leads lined up. Most likely, she'll end up doing local theatre in Atlanta. Regarding her future in wrestling, WWE believes that she'll wind up in TNA at some point due to the schedule.

Also, the latest issue of WWE Magazine surprisingly teases her forthcoming departure by saying that "she will possibly (be) moonsaulting her way out of WWE."
